It's hilarious how often true irony occurs in this world: Rothstein was shot and died because he refused to pay a gambling debt saying that the game has been "fixed"!! I'll bet he even said it with a straight face and indigenous in his voice.
@kbennett25874 ай бұрын
It's so werid to think that because of this fix. Rothstein gained more power from this event. Which helped a low -level henchman of Rothstein called Lucky. Who would create the 20th-century american mafia. In a werid way, this event helped shaped the underworld for decades to come, a kinda underworld equivalent of Sputnik or the creation of the nuke.

Hey buddy I think you are forgetting about the team that used trash cans and did swinging and banging with baseball bats and got away with the World Series in 2017 lol 😂 it’s the Houston asterisks

"Shoeless" Joe ACCEPTED Rothstein's $$$...and then, PLAYED HIS ASS OFF IN THE SERIES! So, it would seem the gangster, Abe Rothstein, simply allowed himself to be, "hustled" by a, "good ol' boy" from South Carolina!😅

MLB was all too happy to sweep it all under the rug, but there was only one problem.. And it’s the real lesson of the story.. Those players continued to throw games throughout the 1920 season, because the gamblers had them over a barrel.. In their pocket, so to speak..

Jackson hit well but he was definitely NOT playing to win. His offensive production was never in the clutch his hits came with no one on base and late in games after the Sox were already behind

No,the steroid era of the 1990s was the darkest time for baseball
@AYoungAdultOnYoutube3 ай бұрын
It was kind of both the best and worst era for baseball. On one hand, you have a lot of dingers being hit left and right, the other, it leads to a lot of scrutiny by everyone and even the government regarding PEDs in sports The Black Sox scandal was the pure bad time for the MLB. No positivity out of it whatsoever and it marked a black (heh) eye in history

Back when scandals were classier, not like these lousy, low class scandals we have today. Parents weren't afraid to hit their children back then, resulting much better behaved cheaters than today's undisciplined cheaters who are all about "me, me, me." (satire, btw)
