The Mason Resolution is a steel road bike frame and we have built this up with the Shimano GRX Limited groupset.

Mapdec I agree a bike is so much more than the sum of its constituent parts, capable of transporting us to places both physically and emotionally in ways that nothing else can. What a beautiful build! The GRX groupset is a work of art and a perfect nod to the retro classic feel of the bike. I think it's easy to understand that some bikes have soul. I feel this way about my bikes 😊 They take me places and teach me about myself. So much more than transportation for me❤

Certainly a bike can have a sort of vibe or aura, but I'd stop short of ascribing to it a personality and a soul. That said, I get why some folks feel that way, and in that spirit, I love this build. The GRX in polished aluminum is gorgeous! Groupset makers really screwed the pooch for me when they started producing everything in black only.

I’ve had this frame in black for a couple of years. I find myself smiling when I ride it. I loved the Mason ride quality so much I waited almost. A year to get one of the aspect ti frames and it blows me away every time I ride it. Plan on taking the resolution on the round Taiwan trip early 2023. I truly hope the woman owner got to enjoy the best of this bike.

Great build Paul. I do like the Sussex companies like Mason doing a great job in keeping metal modern. Can I ask what camera you used for this shoot? Great bit of background blur but fixed focus on the rear mech to keep the details sharpe!

That's how I wrap tape and my girlfriend manages to undo hers in weeks. I've no idea what she does but I'm sick of rewrapping it! Oh and she doesn't fit into the categories you mention 😀
