When I was a kid, my grandfather would spoon chocolate PDQ onto our vanilla ice cream in mugs. Visits to my grandparents were the only times I would have PDQ, making the memory of it extra special

I remember back in the 60's (I think) that Borden company use to put out tall cans of egg nog - I remember they were yellow cans.

Yes! You can see the Borden Egg Nog in canned form in a 1964 advertisement at 2:53 and again at 4:32. It looks like the original cans were white, but I've seen ones from the early 1970s that are yellow and brown. :) Borden sold canned eggnog alongside its cartons, and you would refrigerate the canned eggnog once it was opened.

PDQ collapsed as a company in 1995...I was 5 years old for most of that year. No wonder I never heard of that company before. I wished Eggnog was sold all year round. It's my favorite drink.

Very interesting. I believe in the 1970s there was a chain of convenience stores called PDQ in the midwest but presume there was no connection to this egg nog product. My husband still enjoys chocolate malt ovaltine in milk almost daily. Thank you for a well researched video. Merry Christmas!🎄

This was a good one and reminded me I need to get some eggnog. Happy holidays, Julie! Keep up the great work!
