I like the petrol engine but the 22inch wheel is not for off roading.

@@peterhess6039 The car is built on the ladder frame. If you don’t bring the car to off roads what is the point to own the car? Its sibling is Land cruiser which is a superb off roader.

I agree , it is pointless If you don’t want to off road it there is so much batter options available for the cost . If you do want to off road you would get the top land cruiser

You would have to make a few changes to off-road (lift and winch bumper). The LX is really good as a light to mid-weight ball hitch tow vehicle. If you are towing more than about 7k lbs very often you would need something bigger.

Though it's using the same diesel engine as the LC 300, it's still unique enough to be different. The diesel is a beauty, almost to a case where the petrol is technically redundant .

No cooled seats on the 7 seater! That’s me out. I need a seven seater and in a hot climate, air con seats are a must. What a strange decision to omit this feature.

It isn't only the base model that has 7 seats. In North America, of the 5 packages available, 3 of them are 7 seaters. Australia's Lexus website says that you can get 4,5 or 7 seaters but doesn't tell you which trim levels get which seats. It is probably in their brochure, but you have to request an e-brochure (requires filling in all your info and they email it to you.....very odd).
