I remember hearing about the cup run of Calais in England. At the time, I was studying French at A-Level and I listened to the cup final on France Inter, which I could receive on long wave radio. I remember all the confusion and controversy about Nantes' winning goal.

I remember following Calais's amazing journey to the final (I am French) either on radio (yep, those were the days...) or on TV. And I was sooo devastated when they lost the final so shabily... but loved Michael Landreau's invitation to Calais's captain to lift the cup together.
