My father is a narcissist. He lashed out at me and refused to talk to me for months after he thought I was not concerned enough about him when he had an asthma attack which wasn't true. I tried to talk with him but nothing. When he seemed to start cutting off my young daughter I decided to stop all hope for reconnection. I never contacted him again. That was 10 years ago. He never tried to reach out. So not all narcissists will try to reconnect when you let go.

My mother went so far as to try and convince me my dad wasn’t my dad. She was jealous I had a good relationship with him, while I refused all contact with her. I wasn’t invited to her cremation. When I ran away from her at 14 yrs. old, she said I was a weakling to do so. My brother stayed, later he committed suicide. Somehow I keep attracting narcissists, so I lead a very secluded life now. Just accept that he or she didn't love you and you are worthy of so much more. Narc I dated kept a harem of all women from past relationships. Some refused to participate and others just couldn’t get enough. You were not to leave the harem unless he dismissed you. You could not leave unless instructed to do so. I left without permission. I have no idea how he reacted as all contact was cut and blocked. I did not care how he reacted as long as he stayed away.

Many people are hurt and suffer deeply after a relationship ends. Many lash out as a result of this pain. This does not necessarily make them a narc. If however the attacks they take on you are lies and an attempt to destroy you then I you probably are dealing with someone who has an elevated or disorderly personality. Many of the these relationships involve people that struggle to regulate emotions. The Empath and the narc is a very common relationship. Both have a need for an emotional connection that exceeds what is reasonably expected in a healthy relationship. When ties are broken both suffer and often lash out. What I’m saying is that it’s important for both to recognize their role in this outcome. Yes, a departure and separation is needed to ensure a return to health but there is also a need to recognize and prevent choosing another partner with the same characteristics. Continue your empathy. Go to therapy to heal. Stay out of relationships until you have completely healed. When you eventually start a new relationship be patient. A narc will want instant access to all of your emotions and will use manipulation and drama to get it so patience will help you identify and avoid a bad bond. Wait until you identify a healthy person before having sex. Sex will create easy gratification and premature bonding at the expense of your long term emotional health. Stay strong, be well, love yourself, and seek out people with high character and values to surround you.

Although just a few months ago, after 6 complete years, I see her and her narcissistic mother. I woke up and before I said a word the narcissistic mother. Turn to me and curse me out. Vulgar language and threatened to call the cops on me. When all I wanted to do was lovingly speak with my daughter. This bothered me dearly because I did nothing to hurt them. I offered them money to stay afloat financially and I continually text my daughter asking her if she is okay telling her how much I love her which I do dearly that is patent. And no responses. I believe the daughter is afraid of the mother and her rage and possibly threat to throw her out. If she speaks to me, her father and the daughter does not want to betray the mother. So I'm left alone and it's strange from a beautiful daughter who I love dearly.

We’ve been married since 2009 we were together in March 1999 and the first seven years were wonderful and then I guess people change a little bit out some people don’t like it, but what drilling did you get when it was good? What was that feeling? In my case, She had her Plan B ready. She told me I am too toxic and this won't work out. Due to financial reasons she is switching the state. I didn't saw it coming and it was out of no-where. The hilarious part is she started crying and told me to not drink and take care of myself. I didn't fought much and let her go. After a week she told me she can't live without me and I am the love of her life. It seems she forgot the part where I was toxic. I said No but she tried convinced me that whatever happened it was a big misunderstanding. I remind her that she has plans of switching states and it's kinda permanent how will it work out ? It came a shocker to me when she said " Don't take me that seriously, Enjoy the phase .... I m okay even if you make other Girlfriend but stay till I am here .... I can't leave you that easily ? " I was taken a back as I came from a conservative background and she's too... We mutually decided to go for a monogamous relationship. How can someone whom I respected, admired and for whom I am constantly trying to be a better person say such things to me ? I said it in her face to find someone else as I won't buy this. For a few week I was in utter disbelief and was facing serious withdrawal.The pain is real to the core . I am a jolly person and tries to find happiness in small things . Burying the light ain't my thing. I was in hope that she might be doing it in anger as I cross questioned her sometimes . I thought maybe I am too conservative. One day I drank and went back to her but she told me that I am scaring her now .... But then told me to stay for somewhile ... She told me that I can stay for this day and they we can depart. She was asking me, I was good drunk and was speaking my first thought .... She asked me some of her stuffs like " why I love her so much ? " And " why I don't trust her ? " .... I told her I saw you with that other guy talking and just want to clear your position with him .... She told me " why it has to be always about you ? " I was drunk but this still made no sense to me . I gave everything to this relationship and gained nothing out of it and she says " it's all about me ?". I didn't fought and came back home defeated. I cried that day hard. I rarely do that but this broke me to the core. My faith was shaken. I was clueless and thought, Is fidelity is too much to ask in a relationship ? For few months I went no contact with her. Someone told me that she is in relationship with some new guy. It was not the person I saw her with, I went to that guy whom I saw her with (first one ) and his state was same as mine and actually worse. I came to know that he was unaware that she was already in a relationship and he left her when he came to know what she is doing. I laughed, cause now I know atleast I am not insane to question her. The new guy she is with ... Is in some higher position. They both are together planning to move out of town. The crazy part was she still wanted me to be there so she is cheating on that rich guy too. Maybe cause I am her biggest source of ego boost ? Call her whatever, But this is the women I trusted my life with. I use to honour her but now I just feel stupid. The second was too a nice dude. He too wanted the same, a normal traditional girl from town, a women of faith whom he can trust on with eyes closed. Now I honour those women more who are blunt to my face and says that they want money and power. Atleast they are honest and I know what to chase and I see no harm in this. Ok so now what should I do? I have a narcissist friend who I discovered to be a narcissist only one year ago after many years of her ghosting and disappearing...in the early stages of our friendship she was lovely (too much) and according to her I was the best and most handsome man in the world. Then she started disappearing "because she needed time for herself" and showed back only each 2-3 months. Knowing her troubles with depression, I tried to respect and keep caring her. Until I decided to go no contact 2 months ago in response to her upteenth ghosting activity. And she texted me calling with nice names, operating a soft love bombing. But I kept silent...and she wrote me again after another week to "apologize" confessing me that she had tried to stalk me through people, adding my brother (who she doesn't even know personally!)on a false account she had created on purpose to gather informations about me😮 Basically because "she was worried to lose me"...but not because she was worried about me or my health, probably she's just worried that I understood her true nature!
