That John Scott all star game was the greatest all star game the NHL ever put on. The players and viewers both had shit eating grins on their faces throughout it. You had to feel good for the guy. It was great to see the league look stupid after that. I loved it. That was the last all star game that I watched, and it will likely stay that way.

I still think it's wild that Kessel only got suspended for pre-season for a couple of the most egregious slashes with the twig, & when the player on the recieving end was tied up with two other guys & his legs were targeted to take him off balance. Especially considering he was in all likelihood not playing many more pre-seson games.
@tjlazer797 ай бұрын
Yep it was a bitch move.
@scottyboy62697 ай бұрын
Its wild Scott didnt get suspended...clearly a match penalty when you attack someone who doesnt want to be a combatant with such a massive size difference
@VisionThing7 ай бұрын
Kessel shouldn’t been suspended at all. He could have gotten really badly injured and he had to protect himself. That was assault territory.
@TRZN917 ай бұрын
@@VisionThing lol 2 other players are tied up with your "assaulter" you're free to skate away and flee the "assault", instead you stick around and swing a weapon at their back side & legs. Like literally that would not hold up as self defense on the streets let alone a hockey game. Also relax he got shoved a couple times & challenged to a fight. His goons came to the rescue. Everyday hockey stuff. To make matters even more clear the bench & coach were warned. They knew what was going to happen. Get a grip. Assault 🤣
@VisionThing7 ай бұрын
@@TRZN91 It didn’t go that far as Kessel was smart enough to chop at him, but had Scott gotten hold of Kessel he could’ve gotten a career-ending beating. That was no ordinary fight, do you see the size difference? Like what was he supposed to do?

This was on Carlyle for throwing Kessel to John Scott like a pork chop without telling him what he was getting himself into. The NHL bullied Scott to drop out of the All-Star game and then drove him out of the league when he didn't back down. The NHL brass have no class.
