Ranked in this game is such a coin toss, it is fascinating how you can still get paired with absolutely clueless people sometimes even if you are in Diamond 1, but the enemy team is legit eSports ready. I got to GM3 in both seasons by solo queue only and honestly, I was tilted a lot even if we were winning lol, some teammates just want to make you pull your hair out. Whenever I reached Diamond rank, I just one tricked Thor into GM3. In this rank, supports are usually competent, so I get enough heals and I can be both a tank and DPS, so if the DPS suck, I can fill that role easily with Thor.

Im convinced it comes down to solo queing vs. queing with a team. You can always tell when you're playing against a full or almost full team. They actually communicate and strategize. The other day I played against a team who combined ults every single time and used their abilities in tandem. Groot would put up a wall creating a choke, due storm would pull us through the choke point, and the whole team would be waiting there to finish us off. It was when your team isn't on coms there's just nothing that can be done about that level of organization.

It’s smarter than that, it’s actually predetermined MMR/ELO. That’s why most people are sitting between 45% and 55% win rate (unless you are a pro duo queue)

Im dps at heart but 85% of my play time is tank and healer bec no one is good at it and non-one will do it better than me so i wait to make sure everyone picks the role they are comfortable with. as a commited fill with 1-2 mains per role, I can attest to the fact that this game as insane RNG with solo cue. I feel like due to the nature of the game, a lot of people end up in way higher ranks than they should, and somehow the stars allign for all of them to end up on your team at once

Its great seeing a supp player go through the DPS experience. It's not as easy as it looks. There's more to DPSing than just "aim good". And I felt so validated watching you crash out at a supp for not healing you WHEN YOURE RIGHT NEXT TO THEM ASKING FOR IT. 12:57 Welcome, to DPS Ego. It's never your fault even when it is (12:31). Also...16:53...hey uh...you dropped this 12:00. Remember, everyone can have bad games. Sometimes enabling people is better than hoping they randomly do better on their own. (And by the end of the game they didnt even do that bad) As a DPS main (that flexes all roles), biggest tip if you keep playing DPS is to just work on your positioning. Do that and you'll immediately perform better. More often than not you position like a Supp would. DPS (most times) should position differently. Good luck :)

I felt very identified with you I usually play tank and heal and when sometimes I try to play dps I have horrible games where I wonder what I'm doing playing this game but others where everything flows and I have spectacular days as a dps the problem is that we are too used to our roles more than anything in the way of positioning and surviving when playing so much tank I tend to be too long before returning and when playing so much heal I tend to trust that I have a skill that will heal me or help me to run away and that when you play dps you don't have so I learned that I should play in a more unpredictable way and around that I have to play in a more unpredictable way. I've learned that I have to play more unpredictable and around health packs and hit and run and try to sneak around the back while my teammates are being attacked, at least I think for someone who doesn't play dps to begin with that approach is the best one I've come up with. ...I love you Lulu I love these videos even though you suffer haha

If you are solo queuing you HAVE to play DPS. You should master 1 dive the bare minimum. I got to GM1 solo queuing playing Magik, Psylock, Bucky, BP.

I love running support as Rocket when my DPS and Tanks know what the hell they are doing. I desperately want to get better with Invisible Woman because her kit is super interesting to me as well.
