I hope no one in your neighborhood ever gets to the "GO" phase, stay ready just in case. That's scary. Great job! It's so cool! Thanks for sharing.

Yeah we were close to the GO line on the last one. We’ve had rain now, and flooding nearby. It’s always something. 🤷🏼♀️

That was a fabulous art project! It turned out really well! Ive seen people who have done it with all agate pieces, but never with actual glass pieces! They helped with the over all transparency of the project, and still blended nicely! Beautiful stained glass and agate project and it wasnt as difficult as it seemed, in the beginning! Awesome job! Thanks for sharing!

That turned out gorgeous! It is always nice to see a person with great talent create works of art using rocks. When framed it will be even more awesome. As always thanks for sharing! And be safe around those forest fires!

Thanks! I ordered a frame for it today. We’ve had enough rain now that the fire restrictions are lifted. Hopefully that means no more bad fires this year. 🤞🏼

Thank you for showing us your creative process. Ive been trying to imagine ways to put all my slabs into a mosaic, and short of an epoxy bath, this method is probably the tried and true. Would you post a shot of the finished piece framed?
@beachtrash18522 жыл бұрын
Lauren that is awesome! I love it! I really like how you laid it out, that is key. I have always wanted to try stained glass. I've been told I have too many hobbies though. I do work with tumbled glass and slag if you ever need some.
@RocksForBrains2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! You could always get a couple precut kits just to try it out. It doesn’t require many tools that way. 😜

I love this, I’m a stained glass artist and have recently used an agate slab to make dream catcher. Want to do more with slabs!

That’s great! 😁 I do enjoy mixing materials. I’ve done a few pieces with embossed glass saucers in the middle too.

this is really awesome!!! what is the saw you use to cut the glass ? wondering how often you need to change the blade please? i go through grinding wheels so quickly
@RocksForBrains2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! It’s a Taurus 3 ring saw. I’ve had it for many years and only had to change the blades a handful of times. 😊
