Lmao, Hawlucha, Goodra, Noivern, Talonflame is not a better team than Journey’s. Ash’s Dragonite was able to beat Mega Lucario, Dragapult, and Haxorus. Goodra couldn’t even beat Charizard. Sir Fetch’d defeated Milotic and facilitated the defeat of Garchomp. Hawlucha couldn’t even beat Bisharp. Dracovish stopped Rillaboom, who is literally one of the strongest mon by feats in the series. Noivern couldn’t beat a single pokemon. Gengar could gigantamax and beat Intelion, a starter. Talonflame couldn’t even beat Unfezanf and for a double KO. Ash Pikachu in Journeys is still Pikachu. Literally the only member that’s arguably better in Kalos is Ash Greninja compared to Lucario, but it’s extremely close lol. Lucario can mega and has an aura bond and defeated Cynthia’s mega Garchomp, who is definitely stronger than Alain’s mega Charizard X. Even in BST, Mega Lucario is only 15 points lower than Ash Greninja. So it’s extremely close. And even if weaker, the power of the other Journey’s Pokemon make up for it. I understand you like Kalos more than Journeys, but don’t be intellectually dishonest. There is not a single universe where Ash’s Kalos team is anywhere near as good as his Master’s 8 team.

Although I think that if a flying Pokémon is on the ground and doesn't fly, the Pokémon will be affected by an earthquake for example, as it wouldn't make sense not to be. And when it comes to Alain's Charizard's Thunder Punch, it's not a stab attack, so it doesn't do as much damage as it should. And since I've got nothing better to do, let's piss off Alain fans (disclaimer: it's a joke, please read the full thing before coming at me, especially the last point even if you don't agree): 1. "Alain's Zard fought legendaries, makes sense why Greninja lost" First off, it almost got killed after 1 precipice blade (not blades, a singular blade) hit it, and got incapacitated by 1 dragon ascent (if you rewatch that special, you'll see Steven was hard carrying). Second, how does that stop Greninja from jumping away from Blast Burn? 2."Alain almost beat Zygarde 50%" - And Ash-Greninja was strong enough to resist the mind control beam that hypnotised not 1, but 2 Zygarde 50%, the same beam powered by the Mega energy Alain collected. In other words, the energy of EVERYTHING Alain's ever fought being used all at once wasn't enough to overpower Greninja. 3. "Alain beat an E4 member after fighting 9 mega trainers". Over half of them were at a type disadvantage (Ampharos who becomes part dragon, Heracross, Venusaur, Scizor, Aggron and something else). Given how effortlessly he walloped rando mega trainers like Astrid, Trevor and that Mega garchomp guy (literal rando, can't even remember his name), these weren't too challenging, especially since he had access to healing AND most of those matchups were in his favor (At one point, he uses a super potion to patch up Zard mid fight, and also used a pecha berry after the venusaur fight). Given how many of the fights happened offscreen and how Siebold beat Alain even when his Zard was at full potential, I'm inclined to believe the guys behind the show agree. Beating the E4 member is impressive, but... 4. "Alain is stronger than Ash because he has more feats than Diantha" - Yeah because almost getting killed by legendaries and squeaking past E4 members are feats to be proud of🙄. It's not like Diantha beat those 4 E4 members back to back to become Champion or anything. And even then, she almost lost to an Ash-Greninja that transformed for the first time. Granted, she did hold back at the start to let Ash show off the transformation, but even before the complete transformation, when Greninja was cloaked in water, the same Greninja that was struggling to land hits and getting simultaneously pulverized by Gardevoir's shadow balls a few seconds ago, suddenly got Diantha to say to herself "If that attack lands again, it'll be over for sure. I have to be cautious" AND force her to Mega evolve Gardevoir. Even then, it was struggling, as Ash got closer and closer to that full transformation, after which it would've been GG, if Ash didn't pass out. Mind you, this was BEFORE Ash mastered Battle Bond. Alain? Barely scratches Steven's Mega Metagross after fully mastering Mega evolution, and doesn't improve much from there, other than fighting Zygarde, but we already established that it wouldn't be enough to beat a Greninja that has comparable strength to two of them at full potential. And finally... 5. "If what you say is true, and Alain was supposed to win, the writers would've made him win" - The thing is, they did do so originally, but after the title for the final Kalos league got leaked or because the higher ups wanted to have Ash in SM, they made a last minute change to make Ash lose, and it shows. Greninja standing there like an idiot in front of the second dragon claw and blast burn, after dodging, jumping and cutting away frenzy plant like he did against Sawyer's Mega Sceptile after tanking 2 Leaf Storms to the chest shows how rushed and last minute this was. Even if you're an Alain fan (believe me, I am too), making Ash throw wasn't the way to make Alain win. It makes Alain look weak and at the mercy of Ash when he shouldn't be if you want us to believe he should win. Have him come up with a clever strategy or something. Like make Zard use Dragon Claw on Greninja's legs to make it make sense. It would also make sense why he would get hit by the second dragon claw, since Alain would essentially fake target the chest/upper body only to hit the legs. This was a robbery on full display, ladies and gentlemen. And I'm glad people are calling it out, because Ash wasn't the only one who got robbed of his pride that day. Hopefully this mistake doesn't happen again, and maybe, just maybe even gets fixed if they ever bring Ash back (not as a protagonist, but just like a recurring legacy character, like how we saw May in Sinnoh). Just reverse the retcon of Battle bond.

Bruh, Ash in Kalos felt like a teenager in his bigger battles, dude was COOKIN. Not to mention the absolute badassery of Ash’s design, Ash and the gang went hard as fuck. I heard that Ash’s loss was last minute due to time constraints on the rest of the anime. If that’s true, I’m hella pissed. Ash deserved better. @@DullaZulla all of greninjas moves is below 60 in base power, and only one of which is stab( that being water shuriken), not to mention his stab move is neutral to zard....along with every move greninja have, while on the other hand zard have T- punch(it didnt connect in this fight but atleast he has a super-effective move on his opponent) and dragon claw which is boosted by tough claws, and blastburn with 150 base power....so yeah, couple that with how frail greninja is, im surprise he last that long, yes only three moves connect on him the whole fight, but tough claws boosted dragon claw coming from a zard x is no joke

@@r.shreyas9680 pikachu doesnt have a held item let alone a light ball, and without it pikachu kinda s*cks, not ash's though, that pikachu is built different, but if we are talking durability, i think tanking a dragon ascent from mega rayquaza, and lands wrath(which is supereffective on zard x)from zygarde 50%, is super impressive i think we could argue that one of that two (specially tanking any move from a LITERAL sky god that evolves further)is more impressive than tanking a thunderbolt from a weakend pikachu, and more impressive is not only did zard x stop a zygarde 50% using extreme speed dead on its track, he also hit it with a dragon claw strong enough to put it down for a bit, before he got hit by a lands wrath(which he tank casually). as for greninja dodging the final blastburn, where is he going? Up? That thing is blasting lasers from the ground he aint dodging that while simultaneously aiming for zard with that gigantic golden shuriken

I wished that Alan’s Charizard had Flare Blitz instead of Blast Burn, because Mega Charizard X’s ability is Tough Claws(boosting physical attacks by 33.3%). I’m also sad Ash didn’t have his Charizard with him and had him Mega Evolve. Considering that Alan was set up to be his main rival in X and Y and that Charizard had TWO Mega Evolutions, it seemed weird that and a missed opportunity to not go with that!
