Just imagine if there a war with those space crabs and humans. At the end of each battle, there’d be no crab corpses and boiling pots would be standard equipment. After the battle Crab diplomat: we’re here to collect our dead Human diplomat: um...about that.

i'm reminded of another story where an alien force getting ready to invade earth was undergoing a pre-invasion briefing on what to expect from humans based off a prior attack the aliens did on an alleged "human outpost" that the aliens had difficulty attacking. the invasion force, upon landing on earth was immediately curb stomped by the actual military and only then the invaders learned the previous assault they got their data on humans from was just children on a field trip

Before they went on to slave trading ending war with the Yukok and won, I hope the colonial diplomatic outpost colonists and their guests had a nice crab bake with butter!
