I just found this channel and I'm simply amazed by the cultural values. So beautiful to see random strangers stepping up and teaching this young man values and shaming him for his bad behavior. We've lost the sense of shame over here in the states, anything goes and this is why the family unit is so fragile. If you tried to correct the bad behavior of a random teenager, it would not go over very well. You might risk getting beat up or shot. You folks hold on to your culture because it's admirable.

I don't even have the courage to ask something to my parent, I feel like I don't deserve to ask for anything. But my father once said, "My daughter very rarely ask for something, but when she does, it will be very expensive." Excuse me dad, you *offer* me those things. I just said yes to some of them. I'm very blessed to have my parents.

@Nofian-s1g5 жыл бұрын
@ Nah, I never ask for something expensive (except for school books), that's just my father saying stuff. It usually goes like this these days : Parent : You need a tv (or other things, like motorcycle, new clothes, new bag, ect) Me : No, I don't. I rarely watch it P : You definitely need it. What if I want to use it too when I come and visit you? What should I do when you're not here? I will be very bored. You also usually put on the tv even when playing with your phone at home, so it won't be as quiet and lonely living here alone, right? Blablabla... After a lot of pressure, I ended up saying yes. This video remembers me on my child hood. My family moved to another place. My twin sister and I went to 1st grade. Everything was okay. You know, actually young children dont care about clothes and styling yet. They just care about having fun and playing. Nothing else is on their mind... but changing by coming into the next level of school, everyone gets older and changes. When we got into 5th grade, mom and I went to a second hand store. They had beautiful clothes! I loved them so much and was the happiest kid when mom gifted me a dress or a tshirt from this place (we rarely got clothes, only if it was necessary and that's totally fine!). But classmates started to bully me because I wore clothes from this place. I didn't understood why they didn't want to play together or meet me during free time. When I got older, I realized they already have started to criticized clothing, styling, way of being,... of others. Mom explained me that when kids get older, they often experience different phases and also start to think different. She was very aware that we go through that and to be honest, I tried to delete all those memories on that past. A year ago mom and i talked about that. She was very sad. I felt that it made her sad to see that... now we're not the little kids anymore. I'm now in 11th grade and very happy that mom always let me wear the beautiful second hand clothes. It's good to see the comments here. Most of them are positive. I like the ones which tell you to be thankful and praise your parents. They are the ones, who always will be there for you. The first ones to hold you, the happiest to see you getting in kindergarten, elementary school, high school, college... the proudest when they see you getting things done for the first time, when you get your first payment, your first license for something... they are often the most supportive when you get a partner, outing yourself,... they are the ones who want to see you happy and healthy. They are the most worried when you tell them you got hurt...the ones who want to comfort you, try to make you smile... to be honest, I'm crying right now. I wish everyone has a good relationship with their parents. Sometimes unfortunate misunderstandings lead to uncomfortable situations but if you think about the times in the past, you will recognize they are the only ones who will stay by your side 24/7.

I loved all the reactions, but the wise words of the mother in red and the scolding of the woman in black touched me deeply!

But good parents that love their children won't make their children do everything for them when they grow up. In China, so many Chinese parents when they get older basically force their ADULT children to take care of everything for them. Any parent that actually loved their child would want their children to have their own lives, and would die for their grandchildren. But in China, you have this question told all the time: if your baby and mom was in a river and about to drown, which one would you save? Apparently Chinese think the correct answer is to save their mom...

Even though I'm grown, my Asian mom would WHOOP MY ASS if I ever spoke to her like that, especially in public.

Imagine having the courage to actually do it😂😂 even the possibility is scary lol. Jokes aside, I find it pretty harsh to talk like that
