As a boxer, I couldn’t encourage the lack of self preservation thoses fights are showing… but as a man, I can’t feel nothing but respect and admiration to the dedication and courage of thoses fighters who are willing to put their lives on the line with a mutual respect we didn’t see so often in boxing history, because respect is something you earn by acts on the ring not intimidation outside of it. "Incredible heart" - exactly the phrase that sprang to mind when Gatti continued one-handed. Obviously it's a fitting epithet for both men from start to finish. Another GREAT video!! Even though Gatti (on points) dominated the fight, you gave. Ward the credit he deserves. The greatest moment in this video (and probably of all times) was when they came out for the 30th round they hugged and when the ref said fight they beat each other to death. I wish we could see more of that kind of sportsmanship today, especially in combat sports. RIP Gatti!!

It is painfully obvious that these two men are slowly killing each other. What are they sacrificing in quality of life in their later years by absorbing the abuse that they have endured? Quality of life is all that a person has as they age. No amount of money can buy or replace a broken damaged body or mind. I can testify from my own personal experience.
