We do move when we sleep, We have REM sleep, in dream states we move, and there are cases of people sleep walking, there is brain activity. When a body dies the cells breakdown after 8 hours and decay starts, rigamortis sets in. This does not occur in sleep.

In many countries you weren't technically dead before your heart stopped beating. The heart can work independently--that is, it will continue to beat for some time even if it is separated from the body. This posed a big problem when people wanted to attempt heart transplants as you would need the heart of a recently deceased person. The problem being you couldn't take the heart from someone if it was still beating as you could be charged with murder. Now South Africa didn't follow this rule, so when the first successful heart plant was performed there, many other countries changed the law so that heart transplanting wouldn't be considered murder.

Masyaallah. This is the answer i've been looking for. When i was a kid, my dad always told me to say bedtime prayer. He said that sleep is a temporary death. By saying this pray, we ask Allah to protect us while we sleep/dead. Bismika Allahumma ahyaa wa bismika amuut. O Allah! In Your Name do I live and die.
