Hi both, never commented before but just want to say thank you so much for making these videos. I have been going through a really tough time recently with my mental health / anxiety and I have been watching these to calm myself down and forget about my troubles. I don't know what I would have done without you two! I am on the mend now, but it just makes me appreciate them all the more now. Looking forward to the future!

Just echoing everything Jamie has been brave enough to say. I found it so hard getting through lockdown - but came across K&C’s vlogs and it was such a wonderful escape - Ken and Carol feel like old friends!

@@sheilaUK a lot of people have been open about how tough its been for people recently and I understand where they are coming from. The news / talk radio / twitter etc is a very toxic environment and we stopped listening to all of it some time ago. We only worry about things we can control and we feel better for it. We are never happier than when we can get away in our little van. Its good to know the videos can help make people feel a little better about things so stay strong and things will get better ❤️👍
@Jamie-k-r3 жыл бұрын
@@LifeistooshortCK Thank you so much for the kind words! I have also been trying to unplug myself from all the negativity recently and have realised I am so much happier when I am out and about, especially in the great outdoors. So when I couldn't get out because of anxiety your videos were a great proxy of feeling like I was in those locations 😊

A little ball of Blue Tac on the dashboard should keep the ticket in place. Watching you climb the hill by the church was like watching Frodo and Sam climb Mount Doom. lol. I lived in Fishguard for a while when I worked on the ferry to Rosslare. Nice work syncing the water splashes on the drone shot. The little details like that are what elevates your filmmaking above the crowd. Lovely work with the lighthouse beam across the van at the end. Another excellent video. x

Cheers Kit. Sound is the most important part of a film. Lot’s of people will accept terrible camera work but turn off instantly if the sound is bad. It’s also the hardest part of filming and when the sound fails and you find out in the edit it makes your heart sink. I am no Frodo, no way I am giving my precious back 😱😁👍

Hari Om I see someone beat me to it with the bulldog clip idea - though in my case, it would be a small one stuck to the sun visor, which you could drop down while parked and hang any ticket from it. Then again, in my own car, I used a stone from a favourite beach as a paperweight... Love the new pan, Carol - bet you noticed a difference in production of food with that! I wonder if you were overlooking 'Cardigan Bay' there? There was a world renowned Standardbred race horse (trotter) named Cardigan Bay who raced back in the 1960's. Perhaps his owners were so inspired by the Welsh bay that they gave their new foal the same name. He was foaled in New Zealand and was the first horse to win over a million dollars in North America in his career. I had a "bob or two" on him in New York back in the day!
