The "white" flower is stunning ! I've learned from many trials that for a good result with the alcohol lift ink you have to repeat the process at least twice, if not more (and specially with softer colors). That's when the Misti saves your project !!! And most important : it is necessary to strongly clean the stamp BEFORE adding the new alcohol lift ink for the second or third "lift".

I think if you put down alcohol first and then add ink you may have less staining. Love alcohol ink. They are like cats and do what they want. Such a challenge and fun to work with. Love both flowers.

Sandy...You are so hilarious...lol I saw Two images (around 2:22/27) on your Yupo before you added the purple alcohol ink...I was yelling STOP Sandy at my computer screen when I saw the Two images which could have been "converted" to birds or eagles...Thank for a good laugh Sandy! Love Your Creative Works of Art! (HUGS)

Wow! You get an A+ for perseverance; the cards are all lovely. I often find myself repeating your mantra when I have a piece that is circling the drain, “Keep trying! What do you have to lose?” My success rate doesn’t approach yours, but I do occasionally manage to bring one back from the brink and I always learn something.

Wow! you are fearless with alcohol ink. So many interesting little lessons here, and I'm glad you left everything in. I think that if you stamp more than once with the Lift ink, you can end up with a clearer image, but I haven't really tried it myself. Great video!

The pale flower tuned out really pretty. Apparently it’s best to use the lift ink 2 or 3 times to get enough lift for it to be viably lifted. You do the dabbing & polishing each time & clean the stamp so you don’t contaminate the lift ink pad.

As for staining the yupo, try diluting your inks w/alcohol. Just pour off some ink into a small container, add approximately 1/4 of the ink amount of your straight alcohol. I hope that makes sense. Also, with the lift ink, I've had good success with leaving the paper in your stamping tool, wipe off your stamp then reink it with the lift off, and do it a second time. It helps. I hope some of this is helpful to you. Thanks for sharing your failures as well as your successes! Stay safe and be healthy

Nice job. I think the white w/the light colored flower is my fav. Glad to know to keep on going even if you think it’s not salvageable cuz never know the end project can turn out beautiful just like yours ❤️

I've learned to save the "hot messes" of alcohol ink endeavors and there have been many. I can always cut them up or rework them totally and some of my favorite alcohol ink projects have resulted from them. :)

I like your hot mess card the best! And you got a most beautiful bonus card with the lightly painted one. And another bonus card with the leftover ink. Darn it - I have been avoiding that stamp because the thought of coloring all of those itty bitty petals was not very appealing. But you got such beautiful results with a little bit of painting.... I might *need* it.....

All three of these are really pretty. I tried the alcohol lift ink 2 or 3 days ago and mine didn’t work well either. Glad to know it isn’t just me. I sure didn’t recover mine anywhere near as well as yours. You are the master. 😊

Pretty! I think that between the alcohol and blowing the ink around, there wasn't enough alcohol ink left on the paper for the lift ink to work well. Try putting the alcohol ink on the paper with less alcohol and then using the lift ink.

Solid stamps are definitely better for the Lift technique, although I haven't been particularly impressed with any of my results! Fun watching you and listening to your commentary about your own unsatisfactory results!

I think you should immediately wipe away alcohol ink when you've stamp it with Lift-ink and then repeat the process. It might work. But your versions are pretty too because you're so talented. 🤩

It’s not your stamp, I had the same problem with my lift ink. I did the same as you and tried to lift with rubbing alcohol and blending solution. After watching Jeniffer do her lift inking I realised that my lift ink pad was probably too dry. One thing that did help in lifting was to repeat stamp with the lift ink but clean in between each lift or you stain your pad... ask me how I know that lol. The staining you got is normal for strong pigments. Blues, reds and purples always stain yupo. There is a craft paper dura-lar that doesn’t stain with these colours, or you can pre-dilute the strong colours with alcohol before you drop them on. Helps with the whispy look and reduces staining a bit, plus it makes your colours last a bit longer.

Sandy Allnock I know! So was I!!! I guess the lift ink doesn’t store well over time. I’m attempting to get a reinker to test my theory but everywhere is out of stock here. If I do manage to get one I will let you know if my theory is correct, however because I managed to lift after 4/5 attempts I am kinda convinced already that it’s dry!

Question on the airbrush as I'm a bit confused! I'm interested in ONLY an airbrush setup without a compressor..and only to blow alcohol ink. The Gocheer one seems to be an all in one. What do you have yours connected to...the power supply or your compressor?
@SandyAllnock1

It works with the gocheer handheld compressor but it’s not as strong and consistent as a regular compressor.
