Just amazing what happens on the paper. Truly your honed skill and the serendipity of all. Beautiful again!!

(Love them all but) Love this one! And indeed it has an unwinding effect on the one who watched as well!

Thx Catherine! Yes, splashing around definitely had a soothing effect today. That doesn't always happen when I paint! Have a lovely Christmas, Carolyn

Love this technique and have tried to copy method using water and charcoal. My tape keeps tearing the paper when removing it, can you help with this simple problem. @@CarolynJRobertsArtist

Wonderful art. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤Thanks for sharing. Could you please share what type of crayon or pastel you use at the beginning? Thank you. 🙏

Thx Claire - glad you enjoyed it! It was a white Sennelier oil pastel - it acts as a resist, giving random marks when the watercolour and ink is washed over the top. Carolyn

Utilisez vous de l’indigo ou du gris de Payne avec le sépia ? Le rendu est très beau et j’aime beaucoup les effets avec le médium de granulation .

I think this was the Payne's Grey: I love the neutral shade it makes when mixed with the Sepia. And yes, the granulation effects are fabulous aren't they! Carolyn

I love watching your paintings evolve. Can I ask what tape you use? I have tried low tack tape but it still pulls away the paper.

Thank you! Like you I've tried all sorts of tape, and am yet to find a 'perfect' one, if such a thing exists! I sometimes use KleenEdge tape from Jacksons Art (but they've been out of stock for weeks.....). It's not tooo bad, especially if you 'de-sticky' it a bit first...Other than that, it's trial and error... Carolyn

Wonderfully soporific, thank you for sharing. Out of interested which inks did you use and is that cartridge paper? Thanks again 😊

Hi Alison, glad you found it relaxing! I used Seawhite of Brighton 300 gsm cartridge paper and Daler Rowney FW acrylic inks - hope that helps! Carolyn
