Je pense que c'est le Payne's Grey - j'adore la couleur qu'il produit lorsqu'il est mélangé avec du Sepia, et oui, vous obtenez de jolis effets avec le fluide de granulation Carolyn

Gorgeous as always! I’ve been tied down in my mother’s horrible downward spiral following two tragic accidents and have not been able to able to paint or read or do anything resembling pleasure of self care. Today is the first day I’ve had to catch your videos but watching it has lifted my spirits and turns in the art in my brain! Thank you and the Merriest of Christmas’!

I was wondering where you were as I hadn't seen any comments from you in a while. Sounds as if you've been having a tough time lately - so sorry to hear. Sending much love and hugs. Hoping you manage to celebrate the holiday season in some way, and that you soon find some time to paint again xx

@@CarolynJRobertsArtist how sweet that someone noticed my absence. Your kind words are much appreciated…more than you know…I’ve never been in such a desperate situation. Prayers today are much appreciated as we make life decisions re the family.

I love this piece...I live North of San Francisco in Sonoma County. This reminds me so much of the Sonoma County beaches. It is beautiful.

I just became aware of your art, and find it so inspirational... it has a freeing effect on my approach and techniques, from size of brushes, textures from spray bottle and spreading and carving with a card, tipping the surface , dabbing with paper towel.. thank you for sharing how the painting evolves with decisions made during the whole creative process. Wishing you all the best in 2024...

Hi Carolyn, Thanks for this. I'm a realist oil painter looking to have some fun and loosen up and this looks like the perfect place to start. Very inspiring. Could I ask, what type of tape do you use? My regular and painter's masking tape lifts the paper.
@CarolynJRobertsArtist11 ай бұрын
Hi Margret, thank you - glad you find my work inspiring! I've tried all sorts of tape, but have yet to find the perfect one! I find the KleenEdge tape - when it's available from Jacksons Art here in the UK - one of the better ones. Still not perfect; I find I still have to 'de-sticky' it a bit first. Best tips are not to leave the tape on the paper for too long, a fault I've been guilty of, and to use a hairdryer on it, which softens the glue - and go very gently. I keep trying various brands - when I discover "THE ONE", I will give it a shout out! Happy painting, Carolyn

@@CarolynJRobertsArtist Thanks, Carolyn. Yes, please let us all know when you find the golden ticket of tapes! Every tape I've tried either lets paint underneath or lifts paper.
