@Felicity Steward You don't need too turn your mage into a tank or anything, but a few levels in HP to let you take one hit from most moves seems like a nice safety net. From all the videos I see, having the big damage seems like a moot point when these people get hit by a fucking leaf then die, and need to trying another 10 times. In the end, you can fight a boss a bunch of times till you win, because you get close but get punished for having no safety net, or fight it once for a long drawn out battle till your last flask. In the end, its gonna take some time.

90% of the bosses have moves that close the distance in seconds my guy. That aside, as a mage, ranged attacks are still an issue, and again, a little HP buffer can help. 25 total in HP seems a like a good spot in my opinion. Its not a big investment, and it gives you breathing room.
