I remember watching that game live and the Steven Taylor moment was overshadowed as being the most memorably sending off that season by what happened later. It was such good entertainment.

I remember that game. You'd think Steven Taylor had been shot by a sniper the way he went down. At the time (2005) I supported Bowyer because I always felt Dyer was a worky ticket. Bowyer has since taken full responsibility for the whole incident.

One of the great things about playing football when you grow up is you learn to play alongside people who you personally don't like, who you wouldn't spend five minutes with if you had the choice, but you learn to put that aside for the team. To get to that level and have played for that long and to then have it flare up like that in front of the whole world speaks to the fact that both of them had lost touch with that.

At least Bowyer and Dyer admit it was frustration boiled over more than anything else. They seem to still be friends today. Sheringham and A. Cole though...Worked great together on pitch but loathe each other off it, until like 2019, where they finally grow up I guess.

Bowyer was told to accept 'full responsibility' as Newcastle were trying to minimise the damage and hopefully retain Dyer for an up-coming Man.United game after the FA review. FA were having none of it.

premier league footballers today are athletes first then footballers second, yes theres still alot of natural players, bellingham, de bryune, silva, types etc but strip away fitness routines rashford, walker, wan bassaka, robertson, nunez, havertz, watkins, gordon, etc etc and most others wouldn't stand out in a football match the same way as souness, wright, shearer, les ferdinand, keano, bergkamp, cantona, hughes, irwin, owen, fowler, merson,le tissier barnes, etc i find it sad that players in dressing rooms nowadays need hugs after a bad game on their way after a match to jump into their ferrari's

Lol. You really need to go back and watch some old games. The standard is awful. The ball is in the air most of the time, every team plays like Burnley. It's the complete opposite. The technical ability has increased massively.

no matter how skilful you are, sadly even if you can beat a player but you cant get away from him/her/it/ (whatever the pc form is), because they are at Olympic level running, it means today that an athlete is more likely to play instead of you for that reason only, even though when they get the ball they cant pass it.

Nice work if you can get it. This is really a boys club for these three, isn't it? Unless you are aware of the incidents these three are talking about, or a supporter of the clubs invloved, you are not going to learn much from this clip. They don't really explain what they are on about. They burst out laughing instead. Steven Taylor was already sent off so was down to ten men... for the *&^%^&*&^% hahaha HAhaHA ... for the arghhhhhhhh! How embarrassing, he's ripped his shirt off and &%$£%^&%$£$! ages ago and yeah, the funny thing was. Imagine being a manager of that game... you've got a player whose got a... pretends too... and then you've two players fighting...
