Brock’s health failed him. He’s one of the better heavyweights in the history of the UFC. He was a mega star before Ronda and Connor. He also beat a couple of legends. And Shane Carwin was a killer when Brock ran into him. Cain is arguably the greatest heavyweight of all time ( at least somewhere in the top 3 or 4) and Brock was a shell of himself especially with the guy issues.

Stipe overshadows Cain IMO.

Brock Lesnar will forever be one hell of a beast in the world of sports. There truly is no one else like him. He makes everything shown incredibly interesting and real simply by presence alone and always whooped ass whether he won or lost. His UFC run definitely helped him out big time and while it’s not perfect, it was amazing for building him up as the biggest badass ever. Truly a GOAT for sports.✊

I always think what if a 23 year old Lesnar was trying UFC after winning his NCAA championship. I mean when you closely look, Lesnar in his mid 20's weighing 290-295lbs was even faster than the 265lbs lesnar in UFC. Lesnar was 275lbs when he won the NCAA in 2000 and was crazy fast and strong. Lesnar at 31, mentioned before his 3rd UFC fight that he was much stronger 10 years back! ...265lbs 23 year old young lesnar fighting in UFC would have been something extremely crazy!!

If Brock wasn’t sick and trained at a better gym he would probably be the heavyweight goat. His physique and athleticism was so overwhelming but his skill was lacking. He was also scared of sparring so he didn’t develop his striking to be as great as it could’ve been. Still a great career for what it was but it could’ve been sooo much better.

Leaving WWE and eventually landing with UFC was the best move he ever made to solidify his name as a true badass. 3:25 one of the things that held him back was that he supposedly hated taking punches and barely sparred as a result. Another point in his favor was the failure of Greg Hardy. Hardy was a similar elite level pro athlete who had been an all-pro in the NFL. To be fair to Hardy, though, the technique of heavyweights was significantly better in his era so he had a lot more of a skill gap to make up than Brock did. In Brock's era heavyweights were fairly basic skill wise.

So I'm both an mma and pro wrestling fan. I simply think Brock was pretty overrated. As soon as he faught the new generation of heavyweights he got figured out and his weaknesses were too much to overcome and he knew it. Brock for sure is the best pro wrestler coming to mma, he was a big draw and catapulted his own career with this move. But I think a lot of pro wrestling circles talk about Lesnar like he was an amazing fighter, both skill and athletics.
