In all fairness, you think Nathan and Elizabeth courting for that time was ridiculous? Lucas took Elizabeth on picnics, balloon rides and horse rides alone not to mention an unchaperoned overnight trip to see Virginia Wolfe. He also spent the night at her house in Season 9. Nathan and Elizabeth just started courting and went on one picnic with the children. Also as they get into the 1920's you will see that dating without chaperones were becoming the norm.

You actually weren't listening to what I said. In reality their courtship would be ridiculous but in the world of this show it was drawn out. All the things you mention only add to my point about how the show portrayed dating that was not accurate to the time so making them wait so long for a kiss did not work for THIS SHOW!
