As much as i love Lucas and his grand gestures that always come from the heart. I did like hearing Erin talk about how Elizabeth will impart to Lucas the importance of little gestures and little moments that are magical too and grand in their own way. Oh my goodness…I watched Chris’ interview with Paul Greene recently in which he talked about how he looked without his beard, so I googled images of him afterwards to see what he looked like. I enjoyed the interview. World War I's approach has been skirted. A character who repaired cars and planes (perhaps for an army base somewhere in the province or a civilian air field) might be fascinating. Or a scientist who made inventions and gave talks occasionally to the children in school. As a teacher Elizabeth might describe gravity and force to the children dramatically. Then she could talk about the moon. Then a still future segment could show a boy now man sitting among the engineers at NASA or the Canadian Space Agency watching man on the moon. A girl whose mathematical skills were encouraged by Elizabeth could be fast forwarded as a female "computer" at NASA. The film 'Hidden Figures' tells the story of Black women who did that work. Other stories, such as a returning veteran or a former slave who had escaped to Canada or an Inuit family could be explored in future episodes. Inuit right to vote happened in stages. Lee and Rosemary could adopt a teenager and an older child.

I hope that in season 9 all the focus is not on Elizabeth and Lucas relationship and not make the whole show about them. I would like to see Bill and Nathan become good friends instead of Lucas and Nathan. Nathan don't need to be a part of Elizabeth and Lucas relationship or spend to much personal time with them. He needs to be more focused on his daughter. The writers needs to give Rosemary and Lee a better storyline and let her have a baby. Faith and all the other lady's are good actress please give the more storyline. I will watch and see how the writers do Nathan storyline if its not good and everything is focused on Lucas and Elizabeth. I will not be watching anymore.

This is tragic. How could she not pick Nathan…. I just can’t even. Once again I stand by Elizabeth being the issue. Lucas is fine even though it should of been Nathan but Elizabeth needs to go. She is beyond annoying and her character is shallow. WCTH will most definitely die this season.

Elizabeth is fine. She picked the man she felt connected with and had the romantic feelings for and much more. Who had the build up each season etc. I just did not see it with Nathan neither a spark or build up. This show is about Elizabeth - as in the protagonist lead since season 1. She need to go no where… Nathan can if he wants (or maybe watch again from her pov then being bias towards Nathan) I don’t know at which point it pointed to him cos he didn’t and also being a Mountie ( or having niece) is not reason enough.

I don't think you paid attention to the storylines in s6, 7 or 8. There is no way Elizabeth would have chosen Nathan. He was deceitful, he lied about his family, he lost his temper with her in the forest, he was trying to put Lucas in a bad light, he was lacking in judgement, and rude and arrogant at times. Anyway, that is all in the past and I am sure Nathan will get redemption in s9. KM is excited for Nathan's storylines, he has told us. You need to understand that wcth was, is and will be Elizabeth's story. That is a fact! If you dislike the show so much now why don't you choose something else to watch instead of posting negative nonsense on social media?

Elizabeth has become, as you wrote, "annoying and shallow." 100% true. Her doe eyed stares at Lucas don't change anything and are not believable. She's become a childish version of herself and a whining one at that. Entitled to no end. Nathan is the star of the show and they know it. McGarry is simply able to almost effortlessly breathe life into any word he reads from a written script onto the screen. McNally? Eh. Krakow with McNally? Nope. But they keep trying to fake their way through the "excitement", especially Krakow. She is absolutely insufferable and full of herself.
