Have you already had a total knee replacement? How long did it take you to return to work?

Thank you for addressing this and helping me feel like it’s more than ok to put my health first! I went back too soon after my first knee and this one has been SO much harder!

As always, very informative video. After my TKR last year, I was amazed at how tired I was for quite awhile. Good information, Dr. Rosen!

I was retired when I had my first tkr. I recall how tiring those first 6 to 8 weeks were and how much I slept during the day. My second one is schedule for March. Thanks for the great education that you’re giving us.

It does depend - I have a desk sedentary type job. I’m now 10 days post tkr. Doing well with range of motion . I’m planning to go back to work on day 21. I realize that sounds soon but I believe I can elevate and ice at work. I did this with my first tkr and it did work out. It was early though. I’m already off the oxy and gaba.

I reached 130 ROM by 2nd week but I am in my 7th week and some days I can't walk due to swelling and tightness. 😢
