Filipinos are loving and with happy cheerful disposition and most of us do not grow up with words of affirmation that will only make us so sensitive to bashes and mockery. We do have an accent for flavor of identification because we love being Filipinos even if we know how to accentuate other people’s way of pronunciation. We may not be so lucky as the people from progressive countries but no one can beat us when it comes to resiliency and disposition. Filipinos, aside from all you already mentioned are the most hardworking, motivated, diligent, kind, caring, talented tenacious, perseverig beautiful ….I can just go on and on about awesome qualities of Filipinos that made us highly regarded and most sought after people in the world 😎So I don’t care what they say … when you’re being noticed that means you are doing something good. And you can’t avoid negative people to criticize, mock or bring you down. It doesn’t matter we will live and thrive despite these rude people !!😎😎😎

In reality, we Filipinos are just really sensitive individuals. I think this has have something to do deeply with all the shaming and name callings we've received since way back under the Spanish Era as part of their colony. Then, with the American and Japanese regimen that occupied the Philippines afterwards. So, when we were given our liberty and independance, we have but strived to make a good name among the world to gain respect and image. That is why Filipinos as so competative to win and give glory to our flag, soveriegnty, and race. You will see and observe that obvious with us. We fight for our honor and name. In addition to this, we Filipinos are also collectivists. We cannot just shake off and let go a word or a derogatory remarks rendered against us, especially if it was done in a national or international platform. We are hospitable, friendly, and welcoming. But, we can also bring out our fangs and claws when needed. Hahaha

I agree..we've had enough of the shaming and the belittling that we got from the previous 3 periods of colonization, that's why even me myself is so protective of our name and our flag..I love my country and I'm going to defend it everytime..🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭

The person who mocks says more about who he/she is than the person he/she mocks. If you project toxicity/negativity that’s because your life is one. I’d say the filipino OFWs only make this world a better place for the jobs they do serve humanity.

It just happen to Bret the Canadian vlogger who is now in Mexico just received a lot of backlash and most of his Filipino followers unsubscribed his channel because of allegations he made against his Filipino friends in Cateel, and statements about the Philippines. Some of his former subscribers are not happy of what he’s been posting and commenting about their religion. It’s a mess…..His recent vlog that he was threatened of assault that the Cateel boys denied is disturbing. Now, he’s not welcome back nor he’s planning to return to the Philippines anytime soon
