She's nuts. I had an abortion in the late 70's when my husband and I were divorcing. At that time a priest told me that life didn't start until first breath, Dr. told me same thing and not to be concerned because I was only 3 months along. They were both wrong - I think of this everyday and pray.

About 5 years ago there were peacefull protesters standing 24/7 at a major intersection in San Diego/Chula Vista, CA (there was a Family health clinic at the shopping center). They always had a manned person holding a billboard sign saying "Pray to end abortion". The cool thing was that these protesters showed their faith even at 2 AM or whatever time I passed going through and from Work.

Some of these protesters can be just as bad and one sided. I worked at a women's and newborn hospital that also performed abortions. I made it clear before starting that I'm prolife and would refuse to assist with an abortion. My job was to nurse women with high risk pregnancies to bring their babies to term. On my way into work, there were protestors, and as I'm walking into the building, they started yelling baby killer, murderer and and other slurs. I know I'm not any of those things, but what bothered me was not everyone who works there is prochoice. A lot of good ppl work there to save all lives. Abortion was just a small part of what the hospital does. Ppl shouldn't hurl insults without the facts.

When I had one of my scans during pregnancy, the clinic strangely doubled up as an abortion unit. The radio was playing and every few minutes the door would swing open and a young woman came in, all accompanied by another...probably friends. Every one had a look of defiant amusement on their faces as though to say, 'yeah, I know but see if you can stop me'. I just wonder how many have been floored by their actions years later.

If you are truly remorseful, go to confession, receive absolution, perform your penance. Then you are forgiven by God. Nothing is so evil that it is beyond His power to forgive. You will probably still feel remorse, because it is human nature. Working with the Prolife movement will help to ease your pain. Or perhaps you are in the position to adopt an unwanted child?
