Modern boxing press conferences are usually bad and fake enough but the one with Thor and Eddie took the cake. Two of the literal (yes, thats how you use the word) most powerful men on earth, and they were so mad and angry, yet a few average sized men held them both back with ease. That was embarrassing. If Thor actually wanted to get to Eddie and vice versa, those guys in the middle wouldve been thrown away like fucking bagels.

Back in the day they couldn't because the damn refs wouldn't call a fight if the other guy was still standing. That's why you see the real Rocky throwing some punches when the guy seems down. Got to put them down or else you lose the fight, why a lot of those old time boxers spent the rest of their lives punch drunk.

I wasn't a fan of Thor at the strongman due to his attitude, then the script flipped. Thor trained hard took it seriously, lost the weight had a training match, Eddie did started to get cocky bad attitude and not taking things seriously whilst pumping out stupid videos. Even as an Englishman Eddie got what he deserved.

You can't judge the kid by his dad. My dad had an abusive alcoholic as a father and while it took him a while to work through that anger he ended up being a much better man than his father. Eddie's boy is young and doesn't know better yet. Give him a chance to grow up and get some experience and see if he is still like that. All he knows of Thor is what his dad has told him. Ignorance makes fools of us all.

For those wondering, yes hafthor won but eddie was recovering from a detached bicep. Hence, the awkward posture from him. He only tore it 2 or 3 weeks before the fight. I know it was a few weeks before. Say what you want about him, but to go against someone bigger than him while not even 30%-40% recovered from an injury is crazy brave 😂

The problem with these press conferences is they don't seem to know how to truly get under someone's skin with anything other than insults and threats. I think this all stems from Ali. Which is going to be more aggravating some you calling your opponent weak and him getting up and telling you to fight him now or going, yeah that's true. You got any tips on how to kick your ass? Eddie Hall talks too damn much for a guy who won a single Strongman competition. I don't dislike the man but I do dislike his constant chatter. Dude you are a beast of a man you shouldn't have to talk trash. I'm a firm believer that the truly strong, great, etc don't talk trash because their deeds speak for themselves. Eddie was there being the first man to ever clear 500kgs and then instead of allowing that to talk for him he kept on talking. Records are meant to be broken and if it pisses you off that someone broke your record then you are a child or you should make damn sure your record can't be broken. Look at Jerry Rice his records are going to stand for YEARS because he put in the work and kept playing and pushed the records to heights that others aren't willing to go. I like Eddie and I like Thor although both have done things that they shouldn't have, as have I. With that being said I'm glad that Thor won the fight because Eddie would have never shut up about it if he had won and that would have gotten annoying as hell after a while.
