I just want to make the point, that CS 1.6 is the purest form of counter strike, and the game we should be playing. With the computers we have today, this game can be exceptionally smooth, and stable compared to csgo. It's also the core, barebones no bullshit counter strike. I actually prefer the look of this game to most modern day shooters that attempt (poorly) to look as real as possible. Why not make games with low cost polygon graphics, but make the games extremely high quality, and stable (1000 fps is a possibility)

That's why CS as a series is the best FPS of all time. It reached something that people love. A game that is easy to learn and understand but hard as fuck to master. 1.6 is perfect for pure skill players (aim, movement), Source is kinda balanced, probably utilities play a higher role than in 1.6, and GO is godlike for tactics and utilities (aimers tend to be dragged back by the game mechanics). Just my opinion...

This game , and the lord of the rings marathon , bob marley's music , and some other things all are on the same league in a sense to me as they've all left that same surreal joyful mark on me , made me live some really really precious moments I'll never forget.. That's why what some people don't understand is not what a thing is or what what it looks like or capable of , if you see someone liking something ask them WHY they do so , because as humble as that thing might be it could mean the world to that person.. The movement may look janky, but the way the character move is so ahead of their time. I remember thinking how next level the characters just move their torso only if i slowly aim left or right and how the legs and the torso are seperate when walking and aiming

Its both good and bad - in cs 1.6 if you have good aiming and shooting you can kill half the opponent team. On the other hand the game must be about teamplay and communication so its unfair when some wolf kill you just because he is shooting better then you - if you know where he is you should win. It was just the best tactical shooter ever made. Not this bullshit with weapon skins. No matchmaking system. Just get a Server and search enemies over IRC. It was such an simple game and this was what it made so great. No sounds like wind or Trains driving by, and when there were sounds? You just bind a command "stopsound" to a key of your choice and boom. You just hear the steps of the enemies. This was pure skill. i miss those days
