When does the Biblical Day Begin?

The difference is Night & Day when it comes to our ability to keep his Appointed Times and understand Prophecy.
In this video I make the case for Day starting at first light and ending at dark, not sunset, with the calendar day starting with light and ending with night.

I just realized that Nicodemus "coming to Jesus by night" is a reference to John 3:2 and is just a means of identifying which Nicodemus. That said, if you study the burial procedures it was still practically impossible, and one wonders if Nicodemus being known as "coming by night". Matthew 27:57 still says after evening was come, or evening was past, so the conclusion still stands with just slightly less evidence.

The answer lies in a difference among the Jews in the way they reckoned the beginning and end of days. From Josephus, the mishna, and other ancient Jewish sources we learn that the Jews in Northern Palestine calculated days from sunrise to sunrise. That area included the region of Galilee, where Jesus and all the disciples, except Judas, had grown up. Apparently most, if not all, of the Pharisees used that system of reckoning. But Jews in the southern part, witch centered in Jerusalem, calculated days from sunset to sunset. Because all the priests necessarily lived in or near Jerusalem, as did most of the Sadducees, those groups followed the southern scheme. God separates the dark from the light Genesis 1:2 states that before God began his creative work, the earth was formless, void (Whbow); Whto), and dark (%v,xo). I feel like you have such an attention to detail and it is clear how this knowledge is so important as you listen and realize without the correct starting point you depend on luck to find the accurate ending. I don’t mean any disrespect in asking this but how can you see all this and have such attention to detail yet still believe in the globe? The globe is impossible and has not one proof that it exists. Why would GOD create a ball spinning through endless space that defy ALL HIS LAWS. Such as the natural laws… thermodynamics, laws of nature…. I’m so struggling with why people can’t see this. And Father tells me it matters everytime i ask. Earth takes shape like clay under a seal. Creation proves creator. The firmament is solid… a solid barrier. Peace be with you. I have throughly studied the evidence for the globe, which isn't a perfect ball, and as a software engineer responsible for writing software that interprets images recorded from airplanes and has to map them to coordinates for the purposes of planning flight paths I have first hand experience with the errors that accumulate if you apply recorded images from a plane to an assumed flat earth. Things simply do not align. As a software engineer I am also very experienced in the mathematics necessary to render virtual reality and was doing so in 2002-2006 time frame. So I understand perspective, parallax, and projections. I don't have to trust others, I have verified things myself. I pray you can tell that I have no desire to deceive anyone, and you can tell that I test everything, and people tell me I'm very smart. So consider that I could be right on the issue of the globe.

I trust you are very detail oriented and that you desire to tell the truth…. However I would never tell you to trust a man over GOD and I don’t expect you to trust me over your experiences…my experience with the Lord has been mocked no matter how I try and I don’t want to go there… I appreciate your timeline. I hope you are able to break free from the globe deception. I don’t know what it does to help but the Lord assures me it matters everyday. Do you see any globe evidence in the Bible or Hebrew cosmology? Since you have proven the globe to your self can you tell me what independent of them and what they teach us what proof there is for the globe? Never mind… i appreciate your work. That is a very tough question to answer. The sun moves up and down in the sky as it circles the north pole, You know that its lowest point is "mid night" and its highest point is "noon". Since there is never a sunrise or sunset in the summer then you could just pick a timezone. It gets more challenging in the winter when there is no sun and you can't rely on the moon for hours because its always moving relative to earth. You would have to use the stars on the horizon which will spin overhead like a clock in order to set your time. Once again, you can pick your timezone. I don't know how the signs in the sun, moon, and stars translate to polar regions.

Morning ends at sunrise, and evening begins at sunset. So Evening to Morning only describes half a day, or all of a night and 2-3 hours of the day. Restating your interpretation of Genesis does not address the very real issues with Exodus. Keep in mind, an interpretation isn't the same thing as its meaning.

Look at YHWH'S creation: ○ A baby is conceived ( begins) in darkness ○ A seed germinates (begins) in darkness ○ The earth (Gen. 1:2) began with darkness covering it ○ Our spiritual birth started in darkness ( Psalm 51:5 Surely I was brought forth in iniquity: I was sinful when my mother conceived me

That’s a rationalization that doesn’t fit the facts as described by scripture. Adam wasn’t created in darkness nor as a baby.
