Klay Thompson had an awful start to the season until he broke out against the Knicks and Rockets. People like Charles Barkley were ripping the Warriors guard but he broke out of his slump with 41 points and 10 three pointers. Despite that there are still some huge red flags for Klay and the defending champs.

One game at a time. We are going to have bumps but no big trade is going to fix this. The issues are on the court and Klay is getting past that. He was one of the reason the Dubs won the Finals with his defense on Brown (Or Tatum, one of the 2) after game 3. They are all winners, the dynasty is over only in the head of internet trolls. I'm not saying everything is perfect in the team but why would I trade anyone bow if I was the Warriors knowing this group won a chip. You have to figure out Klay inefficiency on offense and Poole's slump which he's trying to get out of. But overall we are 3rd in net rating the last 7 games when we play with tighter lineups. Count us out at your peril.

Being Honest, last year with his headband he did pretty good. He should put it back on. "Even though 2018 Klay didn't have a headband and was good his injury did affect him so he should put it on and see what happens".

TBH they should send Kuminga and Moody to G league as well. They are young kids and need playing time to develop they just aren't getting the needed minutes to get better and for the game to slow down for them. All of Wiseman, Kuminga, Moody and and Baldwin should be in G League playing all game tearing it up building confidence. Poole needs to learn how to play off the bench without Steph on the floor.

Klay Thompson often starts the season out slowly. Klay didn't play much before the season started so this ramp up period could be expected. Elite shooting is an NBA skill that ages like fine wine. Klay Thompson and Steph Curry will play until they're almost 40.

great point that this is not a Klay Thompson issue. he is a sharpshooter at this stage of his career. the whole team is in the beginnings of a transition phase. the team is no way the same mentally as it was last season. they dont have the same bench defenders and guys flat out arent as motivated to steamroll the competition. this is going to be one of those seasons where they coast into the playoffs and see if they can flip the switch when they get there. I actually dont think they are going to trade anyone unless its to somehow cut salary. their young players trade value is low and wont bring back any difference makers imo.

I watched this game live and it was crazy seeing vintage Klay again, next to Steph playing at a unanimous MVP level, but honestly outside of when Klay and Curry were on the court, the game was awful, the warriors bench and Jordan Poole were terrible that game, I felt like I was watching shaqtin a fool, the warriors went 20-38? In the 2nd quarter after being up so much in the first, and there was a long stretch where nobody scored, amazing starting lineup but the bench is struggling, maybe try and sign a guy like Otto Porter Jr who can shoot really well off the bench? Sorry but I can’t agree with your take about Klay being bad, his stats since November have been crazy and insanely well, he had a bad start which he has before, but honestly nobody is including how crazy Klay’s stats since November are, and last season too, he started not as well but after a month or two was great shooting over 40%

Klay admitting he was forcing it is critical. He can adjust and comeback into some semblance of the old klay. I don't think he will have a problem taking less money to stay knowing the dubs had his back when he got hurt. I think drey should stay but it's on him. I’m not sure if Jordan Poole has much trade value with his big contract - but he is the one I would be looking to trade first. Wiseman would be second. Moody, Kuminga might not be in the rotation a whole lot right now but I feel like they are more promising short and long term fits over Poole. IMO these guys are keepers.

I get where the criticism for Klay is coming in and why people are saying it but I would love for anyone to tear their ACL not once but twice then come back and run around on the court and dunk and put all that pressure on it. To be clear, all the key Warriors players are contracted for this season and next. Draymond Green has a player option of $27.5 mil for next season, so he could opt out but it's unlikely. Thompson still has this season and next. The only concern is that they Warriors will have a huge luxury tax bill next season if they keep all their contracted players, so they might trade away players to reduce payroll if their season goes poorly.

When you have a great player who just came off of two horrific leg injuries, hasn't had a training camp in 3 years, yet helps his team to a chip, then doesn't play a lick of basketball in the offseason, or play a preseason game to prepare for the upcoming season, its natural to struggle early. I fully expect Klay to be Klay this season, and these last two games are just the start. If Klay was just the player from last year, this team would have a winning record already. I'm not worried, they'll be just fine.

klay should take a pay cut because he got paid the big bucks for 2 years without playing. klay is definitely forcing it, he needs to take a step back and remember that he needs to make the extra pass and let the game come to him. he needs to keep in mind that making sure that he feeds the open man also makes his shots easier because defenses won’t key in on him cause they know he wants to shoot.
