Despite there being a separate texture for goblin bolt thrower bolts, the goblin bolt thrower uses the same one as the dwarfs, with the explanation that they are "stolen". You would think they would run out pretty quick, and it's not like bolts are hard to make, it's just a spear, but apparently not.

Greenskin logic says a goblin with a glide fired from a ballista does a lot of damage, but, due to a excess of lumber, a lack of materials for gliders, a bad goblin spawning year, they had to swap the goblin glider ammo for wooden bolts. A sad state of for any Waaagh! to be in, for sure. At least they still get to fight, no?

The problem with Bolt Throwers for the Dwarfs is all their other artillery choices are vastly superior, especially in campaign. For Greenskins they are actually better to use: Cheap, available, decent damage to large entities and walls.

Hmm sad part is that those bolt throwers are actually decent for greenskins xD Yes they have poor accuracy but they have more models per unit and when shooting on blobs of enemies they are surprisingly good ! I mean there is an extremly powerfull bolt thrower in game. It's the one mounted on a Stegadon. It is very accurate, bounces and can thus penetrate an entire formation, aplies poison and doubles as an anti large gun. But it is still mainly good because it is mounted on a giant, raging Stegadon.

They're credited for killing Gilles le Breton (THE founder of Bretonnia) and Vorag Bloodytooth (the first Strigoi ghoul king).
