When Edge returned at Survivor Series 2007, his following run on SmackDown was amazing. From his Triple Threat at Armageddon 2007 with Batista and Undertaker and his subsequent rivalry with Taker throughout all of 2008, I swear it was all great stuff. I hated him so much as a kid, and when Taker sent him to hell at SummerSlam 2008, it was so dang satisfying😅. Thanks for the nostalgia, bro.🙂❤️

When Edge returned in late 2007, he took his career to newer heights with his great WHC title runs as well as his epic rivalry with Taker. Just like Orton was on Raw, Edge was the biggest villain on Smackdown.

Apparently Edge was suppose to be the guy that ended the streak but he didn’t want to. Shame cause in hindsight, he SHOULD have been the guy! And why not? Edge was the greatest heel of this era imo and the amount of heat and bragging rights he would’ve had beating Taker would’ve been perfect.

@@LRM5195 I agree with you. Brock winning certainly had some upside. It helped make Brock become a big-boss type of wrestler who would make the WWE a ton of money. It helped his aura of being an unstoppable threat along with his squash win against Cena. It certainly made up for how inconsistently he was being booked up to that moment, but it may not have been worth it.

The only real flaw in the Edge and undertaker feud is Judgment day 2008. When taker won via count out why didn’t the match just restart until someone won the title. Why did the match just end there. Obviously they wanted to continue that story but why! U have taker win the title at mania just to have him vacate it a couple weeks after for what reason. Why couldn’t he had lost it to edge in the TLC match because Edge is the master of the TLC
