To anyone who wants a follow up about what happened with the spoiled girl: She got charged three times and posted 30,000 bail twice (resisting arrest & DUI) and a 50,000 bail (fleeing the police). She then got to leave the county - by special permission - while on probation because she had a cruise to go on. There's no such thing as the rich and spoiled learning a lesson, sadly.

Some judges will explicitly say they don’t believe in accountability for the economically privileged, whereas they think poor / working class people “belong” in jail. And the same applies for occurrence and acceptance of police brutality (that class is the most decisive factor). Even when they are relatively antagonistic towards the rich/powerful, there are still two separate “tiers” of the “justice system.” They rarely face justice, unlike the victim is another rich/powerful person or company…

@@4amcripplei work with a lot of students in my line of work and myself worked up the ladder when I was hired as a student. Many just keep to themselves, you know, they’re busy on school studying and a part time job (which is awesome considering they’re not even adults yet, keeps them occupied and saving money). However, when some of these people grow up without a "leader" in the family (a dad), picking bad influences as friends and breaking the law for fun… they become accustomed to getting what they want when they want it. Everything boils over when they are met with someone who is not equal to them, like a friend or a family member - instead, they have to become compliant and cooperative - something they never had or wanted to do before.. That being said, everyone’s actions are their own responsibility. I Hope that as more of these bodycam videos come out, the young men and women will stay out of trouble.

Great point.. Also, the constitution says the government cannot restrict a citizens right to travel freely. That does not mean you can do illegal things while traveling (like operating a motor vehicle or an airplane without a license). That’s like saying I have the right to life liberty and the pursuit of happiness so therefore the police are never allowed to arrest me for a crime I commit because that would violate my right to the pursuit of happiness. It’s just bad logic. Lol.

My thing is just being unable to do anything like leave home . .....I can't go pick you if you have a problem with life because I cannot afford the cost of registering my vehicle . I could have saved a friend from himself .. I would rather have pursued that 3 miles in my life .. more than pursue happiness . Just add more crap laws to rob families of life and liberty ... . I swear people that try to use their knowledge or relationship to someone that holds a position of power to avoid accountability for their actions disgust me and if i were the person whose name and position they tried to use to threaten the officers jobs and to get out of the trouble they were in, i would do everything in my power to make sure they were punished to the fullest extent and that none of the charges are dropped. I feel that even trying to use someone else's name or position to threaten should be a crime in itself. That way the person that did that would never try that shit again, not only is it wrong it shows a complete a total lack of respect for the person whose name they are using, not to mention depending on the person's crime could have potential blowback on the who they were trying to use.

My father was a police officer...when I started driving, he told me that it is very important to be polite and comply with any command the cop gives me. I found that 95% of the time, that strategy resulted in no ticket, just a warning. When I did get a ticket, it was almost always reduced [speeding]. I am now in my 60's and have not been pulled over in years...always driving the speed limit as I do now seems to be the key to that. Interestingly enough, he also told me that women were far worse to deal with than men...especially if they were drunk.
