Thank you for the video. I still have NO reason from Etsy why they closed my shop. I sell handmade rosaries. No copyright issues or any of the others you list. I appealed and asked for the reason. Answer was “our decision is final” and no reason was or has been given. I know of several other shop owners who faced identical closings.

@@dylanjahraus i want you to understand that Etsy has dug in with not responding to me, again, and with sellers who have likewise been banned. I even tried to make a purchase on Etsy tonight and am banned from buying. Trust me, I violated NO laws/regulations. I understand that copyright and trademark violations comprise the vast majority of seller bans. I’m well versed in copyright law and teach others how to find and use Creative Commons materials. I suspect some eager intern went berserk “finding violations.”

I don't understand why when asked general questions that I'm sure others are curious about, the creator's response is to message privately on IG. If you're freely giving advice and new questions pop up, the viewers now want to know the answers to those questions. Your examples mentioned in the video for handmade should be prime examples of IP infringement. The straws from Starbucks with the bag underneath, there is more issues to that listing than it not being "Handmade".

My smallest Etsy shop is all handmade except for 1 yarn listing. Etsy just deactivated all of my listings and suspended my shop. 3 of my baby blankets took me over 400 hours each to make!

Hi Dylan, I have an Etsy shop now for over a year, no issues, always obey Etsy rules and policies, I tried to open a second store, did all the security they ask for, driver's license, social security, live camera face, home address, phone, email confirm, bank account connected and confirmed and paid their new $15 fee, as soon as it was going to be opened they suspended the store, they responded that after careful consideration does not qualify for reinstatement, but they did take my money, I don't know what to do next, please help.

@@dylanjahraus Yes I have and I get no response, is just hard to understand, they see I have a store with them now for over a year and yet they don't want to approve a second store, passed all their security requirements so they can see I am not a fraud or have bad intentions, very frustrating!

They did exactly the same thing to me. I have one shop still up and running, I opened a new shop on 19 August, they charged me $19, then I opened a 3rd shop on 30 August and they charged me $29! After around 10 days, they suspended one and permanently suspended the other; the original one is still open! I have appealed numerous times and written to their Legal Department. Going to get my lawyer to write to them. Like you, they took my passport copy, facial biometrics and charged me two different amounts -no idea why both amounts are different. I listed around 50 products in one shop and got as far as one in the other! So ticked off with Etsy right now. I got one response saying someone would be in touch with me soon, since then 'crickets'.

My account was suspended back in November due to IP. My shop was not in blatant violation of infringement like so many shops are, however due to negligence tags may have been used that should not have been. They denied my appeal, so I cried and left it alone. I loved selling on Etsy and want to open a new shop. I now have my LLC. Is it possible to open a new shop using my LLC?

I just had my account taken down by Etsy and I’m so hurt. I’ve only had 25 sales and I do make my jewelry. So thanks for the tips but I do not think I’ll go back to them, I just need them to pay me for the items I did mail out.

I've had my first Etsy store open for about 2 weeks if that and I've just been suspended. No communication from Etsy as to why. I've appealed but who knows what the outcome will be. Pretty disappointing on Etsy's part. They should be doing all they can to support sellers. At the end of the day our success is their success.

Hey, I'm not sure if you've covered this in a previous video but, can you say how much customers contact you if you're not selling a custom product? My main concern is that if I open a shop on Etsy, I'll be overwhelmed with customer enquiries. I know you do custom products which always require the customer to contact you, but do you know how much they would if you didn't?

I am fit to be tied and I really hope you can help. I created an Etsy shop and did everything but stock it with POD. I became sick and just didn’t get a chance to put products in. I went to start putting listings in and saw that my shop was suspended. I appealed it, and it was almost immediately reinstated. The next day, I went to my shop again and, again, saw the suspended notification. I messaged them thinking it must be an error. I got an email back saying that my account has been permanently suspended for security reasons. What? I’m a 63 year-old woman, no criminal history, nothing! I just want to sell cute mugs. Help!

The only thing I can think is I had a Shop created under another email address that I never got going, and just kind of screwed things up process wise and decided to scrap it and start from scratch with a new one. @@dylanjahraus I can't contact them - I've tried. I would have to log in, and when I try to do this they "remind me" that I am persona non grata. Banned for life. After some investigation I've assumed that it's because I have a VPN, which is REQUIRED of my profession (I am a mental health counselor with private health information on my computer). After some research I see that there is zero chance of ever recovering my account. I'll be filing a BBB and TrustPilot complaint against Etsy.

@@dylanjahraus not yet. I did sent one appeal after it, Etsy closed my other 2 shops I had open sometime ago with 10 listing and another empty. I tried to open a new store and got locked right away. It’s very surprising, since for Etsy I am their customer and they treat me very unwell. Instead of removing listings with prohibited items, they lock people. If I search for Teethers there will be enough stores selling same items. So far, I’m frustrated, but not much I can do.

My shop was just shut down... I'm sorry I hadn't seen this before. I Did read other posts about what to do, thought I resolved, but they took them down again. I asked to speak with someone, I asked to give me more details how to fix what I was doing. I looked at other similar listings. I just couldn't figure out what I did wrong. I hardly made 1000 in my first year. If I can't open up on Etsy, where do I go? what's next option? Is there anyway to get my listings or customer list? Taylorporium was my store.

But Etsy doesn’t seem to mind Temu or Shein product images palmed off as a seller’s product image??? One swimwear sewing pattern seller has 75 items all of which have “stolen” product images. They make a disclaimer in the product description to say that the images are not their own, but are taken from the Internet as a perfect example of what the product should look like (so dishonest and such BS), yet they sell between 20-30 items per day, sorely disrespecting other “honest” sellers. They are getting away with it, so why shouldn’t I do the same because their shops have not been shut down?
