6:54 that's probably something about Argentinian films in general, and maybe even of our culture. Might have to do with how our dialect is filled with all manner of creative insults and expletives, so it's easy to stand your own ground. For example the word that was just being said "Carajo!" doesn't have an equivalent in English, it's stronger than "damn" and more specific than "fuck". Movies of course exploit those aspects so yes I think it's easy to make Argentinian characters come out as strong or rude.

I love this director too for how original his movies are, also I know exactly what scene you are refering to in Doctor Sleep which is why even though I loved that movie I can't watch it anymore. The difference for me is that in Doctor Sleep they make you like that character more in different ways unlike here where they don't tell you much of the little girl or show much of her death, plus she is back almost immediately (although not the original kid anymore). Anyways, great reaction to an outstanding movie. Keep it up!

Thank you for explaining it in a more concise way, I definitely agree. I have watched Dr. Sleep a few times, I think it's one of the most well done horror movies that hinges on a few different sub genres. It's definitely a favorite of mine but I feel extremely disturbed whenever I watch those scenes. Maybe I'm a glutton for emotional roller coasters haha. And totally agree about this directors originality. It's refreshing to see someone changing the game up in the horror movie world. Can't wait to see more from him. 10:43 whatever was wanting to be born into this world knows that reality does this by using a human to kill it which unleashes evil. She lost her mind when she realized by killing the beast her husband condemned them to hell. IMO

Am Norwegian. So you should definitely see Troll Hunter. Norwegian made and the name kinda gives away the premise of the film. Its a horror comedy. It's also very true to the Norwegian folk lore about trolls. Fantastic movie. Not to be confused with the new "Troll". Edit: good luck with When evil Lurks. This one is very very hard to watch

@@lizscythe Hey! No. That doesn't ring any bells. We have stories dating back to.... 900 BC I think. About trolls. I'm not going to explain all the "lore/history". But that movie has a real good take on he lore. You might get scared once in a while (which I love, sue me.). But it's mostly fun. Waiting patiently for your reaction!!!

I'm gonna have to rewatch this to try and find answers for your good questions, but I think the basic premise is that evil constantly wants to get a foothold in our world. Much like vampire lore, where they can't enter your home without permission, evil can not enter our world unless someone allows it to. The cancerous guy in the beginning became a conduit for evil to enter the world for reasons we don't know. The father interacted with that, and evil latched onto him, and so was allowed to spread.

Have you seen evil dead rise. I watched when evil lurks twice and while I feel its great movie making I just don't get how people feel its so scary But then 2 days ago I watched evil dead rise and felt sick to my stomach halfway thru and then today still.....and I am lost as to why. Maybe its my autism that makes me get really discouraged in life when I watch evil dead rise and dont feel that when I watch when evil lurks and maybe when evil lurks does complete opposite when viewed by a less autistic person....yes autism is in us all it just manifests in some to become more introverted while most become extroverted.

Hey there! I have seen evil dead rise once in the theater. What bothered me the most about that movie was the gore. I really don't like gore at all... I'm overly sensitive to body sensations and when I see things happening to people's bodies I feel like I can feel it myself. Makes my skin literally crawl with extreme discomfort. What's the reason why it was so unsettling for you if I may ask any further? When you mention autism with evil dead rise, are you speaking of how your autism makes you react to the movie or were there elements of people's autism in the movie? Sorry for not understanding. I only saw it once so I might be missing some stuff! :)

Evil Dead 2013 was a lot more tense and realistically gory, in my opinion. Rise was OK but lacked the tension and terror and was more slapstick horror than anything else.
