@@littlemoth4956 At least in the US, home prices are skyrocketing and our banks are expected to up their interest rates pretty significantly. That's two housing bubbles GenZ have had to live through without building any equity along the way. Couple that with the widespread availability of remote work arrangements dramatically reducing the incentive to leave a given place that you like, therefore keeping inventory low in desirable areas. Now homebuying is likely to be so completely out of reach for many GenZ that the taunt about Millennials not being able to afford a house borders on absurd.
@JosephArata

@@jimread2354 Let's not forget that GenZ has absolutely no future now. Generation Zero, because they won't be able to afford a future once energy prices go through the roof with proposed government sanctioned EV and commercial EV bills rolling out. Disregarding the fact we still don't have the Gigawatts of infrastructure required to handle commercial truck EVs, let alone the hundreds of Gigawatts required to force everyone to buy new EVs and still be able to power homes across the entire North American Continent.

Buy land far from cities, its far less expensive. Build your home out there in the woods, make videos about it. Paid off my woodland and the buildings I put up in only 6 years.... on considerably less than $50k a year. The best part of doing that is when the trucks stop bringing food into the city, you have a place to go where you can grow your own food, produce fuel for your vehicles, and live happily while the city people fight over who gets to eat the pet.

@@chrisd6287 No, it was affordable. The wages was align with inflation. Meaning, working 40 hours per week is enough to sustain a family and their living expenses. Nowadays, working 40 hours per week is barely enough to pay rent. Why? Because America think suburban sprawl is cheaper because buying land is cheaper. No, investing in cities is cheaper OVERALL. Because suburban sprawl means more single family houses. More roads. more cars on the road. more gas needed. All around BAD INFRASTRUCTURE. The services is bad and the costs is more expensive. Accessibility is bad because you require a car to go to places. Compare that to the likes of Europe and Asia where they invest in expanding their cities. And building a proper infrastructure so that more people will use public transportation, which means less cars, less gas. The services is better coverage, meaning it’s definitely worth what you pay for in taxes. Also accessibility, meaning it’s easier to get to places. Overall, it’s better than what America is currently doing.

I wasn't really watching this short, had no clue it was a VLDL short. I glanced at the beginning & didn't recognize the girl, my phone was sitting beside me playing. And then I heard a voice I INSTANTLY recognized... that was Britt!!! Now I'm an American... and the fact I can literally pick Britts voice with her New Zealand accent tells me 2 VERY IMPORTANT THINGS... 1st: I have been watching A LOT of V.L.D.L. for a long time now!! 2nd: I have apparently reached FULL-ON FANBOY CRUSH STATUS FOR BRITT!!! If I can hear her voice in the background of my den, immediately recognize it, & instantly snap my head around to see if it was her voice I was positive I heard!!! ***Now to be fair, I'm not an infatuated stalker. Britt, over time, has just become my favorite V.L.D.L. cast member. She roles are usually great characters & she does some facial expressions that have you laughing your ass off (the look right after the portal in Rowan's all points into Charisma skit)!!! And her new role as the ultra suck-up red-shirt at Tech Town (Rowan's dad's store). That role is going to be HILARIOUS & most likely a borderline evil super-villan!! And let's be completely honest here... BRITT IS JUST REDICULOUSLY BEAUTIFUL!!! JUST CRAZY HOTT 💯💯💯!!! Pretty sure she was an actress & professional model before joining the V.L.D.L. cast!!
