To be honest, even if I complete the main quest of a game, if I have ANY side quests left in my journal or quest queue I cannot leave the game. Far too many times it was doing those dangling side quests that exposed me to entire sections of the game world I never knew existed. Starting a new game allowed me to incorporate those learned zones to make my new character even more epic than the original character. Doing those lingering side quests is a great way to learn more about the game world making the next play through all the more satisfying.

That would literally be better than how games do it. More realistic joke would be: he recreated the universe for a better shader with 0 benefits to any other game system
