Great purchase Adrian. We’ve a MB engineering log splitter. Similar design to yours. We never use ours on the arms always move it with the loader. We’ve 15ft of hose on ours. So we can park the tractor away frm it so there’s less noise in the shed and we can also set it up in a low shed and leave the tractor outside. Very handy now.

Great stuff Adrian. We bought an aluminium scraper with an aluminium handle. Super job so light. Easy clean. No handles braking. They are about €140 well worth it. When ur doing ur new cattle crush I would highly recommend a cattle scoop. Saves the back and speeds things up. Super job especially for a lad that is working alone. Fine looking log splitter.

The dosing guns with the long hooked neck are a great job, especially when there is an animal that's not inclined to lift their head. You'd be fit to dose most without even catching them in a head gate and they actually seem calmer because you don't have to be up so close to their head (you stand at their shoulder).

Hi Adrian, Brilliant video again 👍. If you don't stop putting ideas into my head the bank will be after me 💰😱😢🤣. What a brilliant log splitter, love the safety device and pressure gauge and how strong its built, definitely on the wish list. You would have put Walsh's Cranes to shame the way you lifted it off the trailer too 😅. Check out a brilliant dosing gun from an American company called Neogen Ideal instruments on www.neogen.com. comprised of a long handle in one hand the actual plunger in the other. Dose all the animals along the chute and no need for using the head gate at all. My neighbour and I dose hundreds of beef cattle with it every year and will use nothing else now. Ideal if you have the back pack on somebody else (The girls will be soon big enough, probably are) and use the plunger and the other person concentrates on the actual dosing of the animal. Works well and well made trouble free and a great piece of kit. Also really enjoyed the labrador flat out asleep and you working hard on the scrapers. Really is a dog's life.🐕😅👍. Looking forward to the next one.

A Milwaukee Fixtec Quick Locking Universal Flange Nut would be a nice purchase for your angle grinder when changing discs. Also if possible when building your new crush, have your cows walk through it when going back to the shed or to the field. You could have a footpath in it but most of all, the cows will be used to walking through it so brilliant during TB testing as the cows will walk into it themselves. Ours is done this way.

for the dose gun i use a food industry organic grease on the rubber ring, works well for me when i dose the goats and sheep i have, i also keep the entire unit in a bucket of warm water, it expands the barrel to allow the piston to slide smoother and it softens the grease on the rubber ring again to let it run smoother, just a few ideas there for you to try...

Great video Adrian. For myself I think that valve setup is over complicated. At some point u will tackle a really knotted log and it will get stuck on. At which point u will reach for a hammer or axe and ur gauge will be in the firing line. But it does look very well made good luck with it.

Bought a hook gun before Christmas, would never go back to the old way, very easy to dose cows that can be stubborn with the heads, less abuse on man and cow, (we tip dont bother with the straps on the dose bottle get an old school bag) less pipes showing plus less chance of getting caught in a gate or up right post and destroy yourself in dose,

Nice one Adrian. I like that new splitter. The five foot table was a good idea, in the summer if you were having a barbecue, it would be the perfect place to serve the food and if the steak was overcooked you could split it handy enough. When you get handy with it, you could weld a plate between the two yellow handles and use your other hand for making videos. Did you ever loose the head when you were operating the old splitter.😂
