When I was 12 in south Florida my brothers girlfriend paid me 50$ to jump on an alligator at the lake by my house. This thing was easily 8ft long and me at the time was all of 5ft. After I jumped on it , it freaked out and trashed about. Damn near broke my arm when I finally was thrown off it. I ran like fuck to the nearest tree and sat up in it for a good hour. As I recall I never actually received the money.

My “home girl” tricked me into a ridiculous costume for Halloween. Paid her back by hyping her up to go see a dude (that truly didn’t want her) after a bar brawl that night. Oh, she wanted him baddd & I knew he ain’t want her. But, I was pissed and wanted to see her humiliated like I was. We just started down the dark dirt driveway when he and his dad came out yelling, wielding a gun! 😩 Yeah, we were shot at, thankfully not seriously hurt. But, MY window was blown out!😟 So, no more revenge for me! 😅😇 Not worth it❕

When I was 19, I was peer pressured into stealing from one Walmart, driving to another town, and returning the stolen goods at another Walmart for cash. A misdemeanor to be sure, but I really REALLY didn't want to do it.

Think so? That was back in 1990. The kid who pressured me into doing it went on to bigger and better things, like grand theft auto, armed robbery, and assault with a deadly weapon. He spent 27 years in prison. He just got out a year ago. You want to know how long I spent in prison? Oh, about, let's see... none. You want to know why? Because I'm not a goddamn criminal. He never talked me into anything like that ever again, although he tried.

Although, we did grow up together. I've known that guy the longest that I've known anyone, ever since kindergarten in the mid-70s. We were best friends as we grew up, but our attitudes I guess diverged when he moved to another town for high school, and I moved to another town too. We were both in different towns. But we kept in touch, because we were besties. But I could see what direction he was heading, and after that Walmart scam, well, he was living with my family at the time - but just a few months after that, with his constant pressuring me into participating in illegal activities like robbing a golf course, breaking into the next door house, all kinds of fucked up shit, even stealing a car, my mom kicked him out. I haven't seen him since. Although, we did grow up together and were best friends all throughout our childhoods. So I figured out where he was after he got out of prison, called his mom and found out his phone number, gave him a ring, and well. He's a changed man. That's all I can really say, he's changed. And much for the better. He told me that prison was the only thing that would have saved him. It was his destiny. Now he has an agent who sets up art galleries for him, because he did a lot of painting in prison. He's getting to be pretty well known, and he might even make a name for himself. He mentioned something about including me in his plans, and I'm not opposed to it. I just haven't called him back yet, and that was about 2 months ago. But he is a better man now. He's not the same young stupid 20-year-old kid who used to commit petty crimes, until he moved up the ladder and qualified for serious prison time. It was very interesting, the talk I had with him, our first contact in almost 30 years. He had a lot of prison stories, that's for sure. He was in isolation sometimes for years. That's very psychologically damaging to a person, spending time in isolation for years. That's whenever he took up painting. He used to work Sudoku puzzles, and according to some kind of pattern that he devised, he would create pixelated art with the numbers. And after he'd established an artistic pattern, he would use that as a template for a much larger work of art based on that pattern. He has a very interesting method. I've seen a few of his paintings, they are very good. Anyway, fuck up when you're young, waste all of your youth, almost 30 years in prison until you're 50 years old - nope. That wasn't for me. I took a different path. Not necessarily one that did me much good in the long run, except I didn't commit any horrendous crimes or spend any time in prison. We both have and had our demons, and we've been dealing with them and still deal with them in our own ways. But I'm glad to have gotten back in touch with him. But stealing shit from one Walmart and returning it to another? Well for one, that's fuckin' illegal. It's wrong, according to the law, and morally. It's theft. It's stealing. Even if it is a big stinking ugly fat ass corporation like Walmart. I didn't mind if anyone else did it, but I didn't want to have any part in it because I didn't want to be a criminal. And morally, I have to stand my ground and say that I'm against it, even though it is a big fat fuckin' greedy corporation. But I ain't going to shed any tears if anybody else does it. Say now, that's a great idea! Why don't you give it a try, and let me know how it goes? Since you think it's such a great plan, and all.
