Formula 1 has always touted itself as a global sport. Yet, it took until 2014 for it to reach the Russian Federation...but it was almost much sooner than that. Back in the 60s and 80s, there were some attempts to bring the Grand Prix circus to the Soviet Union. Yet, nothing happened. In this episode, I seek to explain what happened.
