Hello and welcome to our channel! Here at The Skin Candy we make handcrafted soap, bath bombs, lotions, creams, shampoo bars & much much more.
Today's soap is well not 100% a fail but it is not a soap I want to have in my line as it is right now. Reviews said it would not rice or accelerate and it did both! In the moment I panicked and I know what I need to do differently for the next batch....yes I said next batch. I want this fragrance to be part of our regular line and it smells soooooo good! It is already a hit in our other bath products so I am going to make it work. One more thing - there is no lavender video - I reference it several times and I was not able to use any of the footage because my camera kept shutting down with no warning.....so there's that. Just imagine this soap but purple & white minus the ricing and BAM - Lavender soap!!

A little about us:
We started our business around the same time Alex was pregnant with her first child.
Relaxing in a bath was the perfect way to unwind and put her feet up but Utah’s hard
water started drying out her skin and hair. The bath bombs she tried from shops and
grocery stores helped immensely but the cost was high and they were full of
undesirable ingredients and chemicals. My daughter & I started doing research and
creating recipes for homemade bath bombs. Within a year, we had landed on such
successful recipes and scents, we were getting countless requests, so Skin Candy
was born!
We create a full line of self care products that are phthalate, sulfate and paraben free. These products don't need anything extra to be the same PH as your skin - which means your skin doesn't have to over compensate due to synthesized detergents.

Maybe use the fragrance oil without the beewax, the batter was already thickening before the fragrance oil.

I used beeswax in the soap as it was as requirement from my client. I probably should have said that in the video. LOL So several things were going on with this soap that I did not realize until about a year after filming this....1-I was using beeswax & 2- I was using Olive Oil Pomace which brings your batter to trace much much quicker. Since changing back to Olive Oil I have not had the issues with the acceleration. If I remember correctly it did still rice very slightly but nothing I could not work with. I have not used this fragrance oil in several years now. Maybe I need to give it a go again! Thanks so much for your comment and thanks for watching!
