This conversation was really good and necessary. I am the friend who walked away and I have not had this official conversation with my friends. This conversation allowed me to see what "could" be and prepared me for the conversation of what I feel, what I believed and how I want to come back. Just not the same as I was. I have just found your podcasts and they have allowed me to get some of the questions I needed answered, answered. Which is one of the reasons for leaving the faith. I found my answers in something else. Never stopped believing in GOD, but his people who represent him and not knowing the book for myself...that's what I had walked away from. I'm still learning. I appreciate your podcasts.

I discovered your podcasts a few weeks ago after a long and difficult grappling with personal questions I had with some aspects of the reformed faith. These podcasts have been refreshing to me in their biblical accuracy and practical wisdom. God has used them to deepen and sweeten my walk with Him. Thank you!

Hugs 🤗 from me, too! I’ve been in a season of questioning and this was convicting and helpful to me to think of how I’m inviting sinful doubt versus cynical doubt that leads to falling away.

Community is important, but relationship with the God/Holy Spirit what keeps you in the faith. You can quote every scripture and know all Bible trivia, and even have a solid church community, but without relationship you can fall away quite easily. Jesus said he’s sending a helper, not a book, not a bunch of people in your life. Your Personal relationship with God has to be solid. You don’t fall away from God if you actually know him personally, instead of depending on knowing him through other’s experiences and teachings.

First time I have tuned into this podcast. My best friend has fallen away from God, and I am stuck with how to reach her. I tried inviting her tonight to bible study, but she wasn't interested (I'm a very stubborn person haha, so I'll keep trying) Later I went onto Insta and this video popped up. Good timing haha. So engaging and relatable, and I love having it as a podcast where women can talk to other women. Thank you!

I was one who left and came back. Left the church and doubted the love of God. It took 10 years. I came back in 2021

This is a WONDERFUL needed discussion. Question? How do we handle when a believer chooses to live a homosexual lifestyle but still claims to be a believer??
@RosyYoshi2 жыл бұрын
I know I ain’t the owner of the podcast or speaker there but, it just shows they are using grace as a lisence to sin and talked about in Jude. They need help. Pray for them. ❤

Great Wisdom I am loving ❤ this dialog. When we refer to those "walking away from the faith" does that include leaving my local community of Faith (ie change church)??

I can sympathize with you. Take it a little at a time. Pray. God will give you the way out of your temptation of unbelief. Just listen to watch He draws your heart to do after praying. I've been stressing so much about God I faced health issues from stress but just keep going. Read your Bible in relevant topics and other topics too. I studied Scripture on anxiety and also did my Genesis, Psalms and Mark reading plans. Remember everything God has done for you. That is very important. I recommend 1Corinthians and 2Corinthians, the book of Romans and HEBREWS. Especially Hebrews. Bought and Beloved podcast by Kirby Kelly. She's been talking about persecution in being a Christian and doubts because of how others are doing. No weapon fashioned agausbt you will prosepr. Let God answer your prayer to settle your doubt but also work toward it too if you have the strength to do so! There are times when I was as so weary and Christ provided however, most times I needed to actually act towards it and let God bless my efforts. I'm not sure what you're feeling but God is always with you. Let this period refine your faith. Remind yourself of what you know and depend on what the Scripture saay. Not the world. Not other religions. Not your feelings. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding and pray. It may be spiritual warfare. The Restored album by Lecare might help with you since you feel far.

Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? (As the Scriptures say, “For your sake we are killed every day; we are being slaughtered like sheep.”) No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us. And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow-not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below-indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:35-39 NLT

We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair. We are hunted down, but never abandoned by God. We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed. Through suffering, our bodies continue to share in the death of Jesus so that the life of Jesus may also be seen in our bodies. 2 Corinthians 4:8-10 NLT

I went through a storm of anxiety of my faith in God as spiritual warfare and truly, that last verse of Isaiah 54 proves to be true. That period refined my faith and did not reach the enemy's goal which was to destroy it. I took a step back and looked at why I believe what I believe and even dipped my toes into apologetics to understand what other people believe and went deeper into Christian theology. The Bible was essential and so was Jesus' help. It was extremely difficult and spiritual warfare against anxiety lead to a health issue too because I put my trust in proud thoughts instead of God but God still saved me through. I think Paul's verse on being ready to give an answer really makes you think about why you believe the doctrines of Christianity. That's a much easier way to get the outcome I have than going through anxiety 🤣😅

In 1 Corinthians 2, Paul presented the answer to every church with believers facing doubt. He resolved to know nothing but Christ, and him crucified. When the church preaches everything but Christ, they are opening the door to a weak faith. On Christ the solid rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand. When it comes to the Christian community...beware the Christian music industry. I know some musicians who got very disillusioned by its inner workings, and eventually left the faith.

Why are they not able to distinguish between healthy exegesis of God's word and Critical Race Theory. Every time I hear these women speak I become more grateful for my College degree

So are you saying you’re better than these women because you have a degree? When writing both of your comments was this out of love? If you did not agree with what was said pray for them and move on. God used many people in the Bible who did not have degrees.
