When a girl cries, give her some space but be there next to her. Only if she leans in to hug you, let her. If your not use to upset girls then act like you care and try to understand what she is saying. if she slurs, just say "hun id like to help you but i need to know what your saying?" just go with everything she say. oh and if you have been keeping an eye on her clues like what she likes, what she stops to look at or smell her favorite flowers, grab something she has taken notice of for her and she will be happy and appreciate that you have clicked on to her clues! :) Post to my channel if you wanna know anything else... :)

Dude, I'm a girl and I don't know what to do either. Crying around people is as just of a big awkward nightmare as having someone crying around you but the situation seems unavoidable so i've realized you can away with staying silent and giving that awkward one armed squeeze or small pat on the shoulder and occasional nods to show that you're listening and 'totally understand' what's going on. They won't hate you too much-- "you're a b*tch"-- I think.

I don't know about other girls,but when i cry,i can't stop it,well sometimes i can,but most of the time i can't. Guys,if you wanna comfort a girl,make sure you know the right "atmosphere" or feel of the situation. Just lightly pat their back and ask what's wrong,but don't ask too much,like 10-13 times,cause that's annoying. If She says "It's nothing." or literally says NOTHING,don't push her or force her to tell you. Wait until she's calmed down a bit. However is she avoids you or walks away crying for some reason,just leave her for a while or let her friends talk to her about it. Usually,It's a girl to girl kinda thing,but you can try to comfort her as well. Oh,and DO NOT say anything like "OMG why are you crying?" really really loud,cause that'll make her (usually me) embarrassed. I mean,come on,if you were crying would you like the whole class or people to stare a you? Example: (This actually did happen to me,and i was depressed for a few weeks. I'm not gonna add anything personal,just about what happened. ) I knew that my mom and dad argue a lot and i'm always worried about them wanting to divorce and stuff. One day,they started to argue and things got really serious and i overheard them arguing about some things. I stood outside the door,and i felt my tears building up,ready to fall down. My cousins were over and they were guys so they didn't know what to do,so they just stared at me. (tip:DON'T DO THAT!!) My mom yelled out that she was gonna leave him and take her children with her,and my dad grabbed her and they yelled at each other. i started to cry. My dad NEVER touched her like that before,and it scared me. As a young teen,like my self,and also being human,i can get depressed and sad too,so when they were arguing my feelings all came out through tears. My aunt was there too,so when she saw me crying she hugged me and asked me what was wrong,but since i didn't answer,she got the message and tried to comfort me by hugging me. That was the first time she saw me cry. My cousin's sister was over too,and she's about the same age as me,so when she saw me cry,she comforted me,even though i couldn't stop crying.

I think it's different for every girl and also depends on the situation, but most of the time we just want to be heard, Appreciated and loved. 1) ask, "do you want to talk about it?" if she says no 2) give her a water bottle, a pack of napkins. sure crying helps you feel better, but after a while, it's straight up effort and drains you physically. you get dehydrated. so replenishing with water helps. napkins are self-explanatory.
