@@bessieschaedel3890 I think the word your looking for is sensualizing. means your trying to force a spiritual high moment on your emotions. Trying ti force emotions on yourself that you deem to be Godly emotions or emotions you have during spiritually high moments, in my life I did it to try and trick myself into thinking that my efforts of drawing near to God were successful. Now thats probably something only I have a problem with, but in general its overplaying a spiritual experience to be more then it actually is, by either forcing your emotions to be stronger then they naturally are or whatever.

Sometimes we think that when we ask Jesus into our heart everything will be better... In in innumerable ways it is... I feel God's presence when I pray and when I learn about and grow closer to him, I hear that inner thought that just happens to tell me the answer to my question or issue. I see the results of the guidance I ask to receive. I feel him all around me. I recently moved past my doubts and fears, through self research and study, finally I can say that I am now able to fully commit my life to our holy father. I owe him everything!!! I have been a "Christian" most of my life, I became a "Born Again Christian in 2010 after an Alpha Course. I have been baptised by immersion. There have been so many times when I have felt God in my life - but it feels like I have not been feeling him for a long time now. Your message helped me today. It made me realise that I might not be feeling God right now, but I am still seeking him in my life. I lost my son two years ago, and I have been struggling with enlarged prostate problems for a long time that mean I get very little sleep, I am often tired. But today I realised something, I am not achieving the things I want to achieve in my life and lack of achievement, lack of purpose, and not recognising the good things that are there are making life feel dull and empty when actually it's not. I am helping many people through a mobility service I set up, and I am 11 months into the best relationship of my life. I live in a very beautiful part of England. God is in my life - I am just failing to notice it.

Lately I've been feeling so far from God, I try to listen to praise and worship songs but I still feel I'm not there. It gives me so much peace when I feel the presence of God in my life. There was a time in my life when I felt like my life wouldn't be the same anymore. My friend was talking to this certain man of God and he ended up talking to me too. When we begun to pray I burst in tears because I realised how much God loves me and suddenly I felt a breeze, I physically felt God's comfort and he told me that everything will be okay in my life😭😭😭❤️❤️❤️❤️...that cry relieved me of all the pain that I felt🥺

Dude...this is insane. A few days ago, I bought a prayer journal but picked up a random one with a scripture on it. Next day, I turned on a random sermon and the sermon was to "Seek His face..." My prayer book has 1 Chronicles 16:11 on it. Now today, I put on this sermon (obviously knowing what it was about), but one point he said was "Maybe your heart has hardened because maybe you've just accepted engaging in your sin" I never realized that I have. I feel like, as great of a sermon this is, I feel God is literally slapping me to get back to Him by this.

I know that God came to me about a month ago through a little boy about 15 years old he sent a message to me through this little boy and I know it was God because I never seen this little boy in my life until a month ago and he said things to me that I have been praying to God about he told me also that God wants me to come to him so he can take care of me like I am always taking care of others and that everything is going to be ok. My son is one month clean off of heroin and doing good and I'm clean and sober. I know for sure that God is with me and loves me so much even when I didn't love myself.
