Jack, I am glad you did this series on marriage. It's truly an important issue, because it is an area that the enemy attacks vigorously and believes if he can disrupt the marriage the family will suffer and then the church and then the believer. But also for those who didn't know or apply these principles and have a failed marriage it's hard to listen to. It is truly difficult for us to hear how other relationships made it or have been awesome for thirty or forty years. Especially for a Christian marriage that failed. For myself personally, I'm blessed or seek to rejoice when a marriage reflects the relationship between Christ and His Bride, though a failed relationship is a wound that never heals, if it ever mattered in the first place. While the evil one uses it as a weapon to beat you with and delights in the heartache. Thank you though, truly. I pray people will listen and seek to serve another person rather than serve themselves. Blessings dear brother Jack, thank you Lord Jesus for you mercy. Maranatha.

What do you do, when your non believing husband doesn't treat you as precious, and the closer my journey with God gets, the worse he's treating me. And believe me, I pray. All the time. I'm starting to get weary. How much can one person take? And I'm not talking divorce.

I had the same problem. When I got married I was saved but backslidden. About 7 years after we were married I decided to give my life to Jesus. My husband was against it he said I was self-righteous. He made crude comments. When I first started reading the word I would use God's word to try to clean him up. But that was totally wrong as I found out. So instead I had God clean me up. Through praying and reading daily God did major work in me. It's definitely a working progress. Over time my husband started to change. I don't know if you saw his other videos on marriage but one of the things he said stuck out to me he said to ask God to show ways to honor your husband. Respect and submission goes along way. It's not easy but God will work in your husband life just keep at it. My husband says he saved now I prayed that God would do whatever it takes to get his attention. He answered that prayer not in the way I expected of course. It was difficult and it effected the whole family but if it's what it took it's worth it. Our marriage is better now than ever. I hope that helps praying for your marriage and your husband's salvation.

Thank you for the prayers. I have been watching this sermon series. I'll tell ya, God put pastor Jack in my life at the right time. I did go into my marriage with my eyes wide open, I've always been a "believer" just strayed for awhile. I prayed before I got married, God told me I would struggle, but I also felt He blessed it too. My husband doesn't drink or do drugs, just let's say selfish and disrespectful. My husband use to be proud of my faith, and if we were ever to be blessed with children wants them to be raised with faith. But as my journey with God gets closer, the devil seems to fight harder. The other reason it's so hard is because other than my husband, I have no one, in the earthly sense. Oh I do, if I reach out. But it's like I've said before, if I die today, no one would even notice. I tested this by not calling or reaching out to anyone for a week and a half. The only person that I had interaction with (other than going to work every day, which is a whole diff story) was my husband. Now I'm not trying for sympathy or anything, for I have been praying for God to remove the evil from my life, it was just an observation. So when things are bad between him and I, it can feel even more lonely. It's like you said though, I am a SERVANT to my husband. So when I mumble to myself, I'm not a slave. In reality I am. I'm praying for Jesus' heart, to feel the love when I do something, I'm trying to figure out the line between being a good Christian wife, and what's over the line. Thankyou for listening to my book here :) I'm going to keep praying that God helps me not be so selfish :)

So what to you do when your Christian spouse runs away, refuses all attempts at reconciliation and turns coldly away from his adult children and cuts contact with anyone who challenges him on his behavior. He is a different person. 38 years of marriage, 2 years gone to “find himself”. After terrible agonizing and a horrific few years I’m preparing divorce papers.

But it's the perfect time so that you know when you do get married. I wish I knew all this when I was first married it would of saved a lot of arguing. And you know now not to marry a unbeliever it's very hard.

I really enjoy Jack Hibbs but this is such a shallow study of women. Really dissapointing.
