Agreed, we take away so much of their natural elegance and grace when we sit on them. I think that's the mark of a great rider: when his/her horse looks just as elegant when ridden (and here I don't include most dressage riders who use those nasty double bits, tie downs, spurs and whips to achieve a superficialy elegant look to a detriment of their horses)

@@maaaaria_baaaaashI've never understood the 'you try it' or 'how would you feel' when comparing something that isn't human to human beings. They do not care. Horses are built to be able to handle a certain amount of weight and provided the load they're carrying is within that, and so long as they're handled with care, it doesn't hurt them, nor do many of them have a problem. Some horses do genuinely have an issue being ridden and they make it known. Most are content and some others even enjoy the experience, particularly if they have a bond with the rider.

Wanna know why animals do better with pregnancy vs humans? Animal fetus don't burrow into their body. The uterus & placenta function separate. They don't tap into moms resources like human babies. That's why animals moms stay pretty athletic and feeling good vs human moms that have a baby with a direct blood line into them, literally manipulating the body's functions.

I'm talking about kids whose parents board horses for them. Way too many horses for the acreage so that's how they're kept. When I had horses, we had 8 horses and ponies on 30 acres. I agree. It's also always been kn my dream list to witness a wild herd of horses galloping their way across the grass trees and bushes. Also those horses are really cute

Preggo mares can be so goofy, it's hilarious!😂🤣 A deep appreciation for the little things and it doesn't matter how much you pamper them, they can still throw a big hissy fit if they don't get what they want fast enough. "Give it to me! Give it to me!"

It would probably be really cool if they had several sections to run into that are still bordered up, that way you can keep em in a section while the grass grows in others❤️ this is supper cute
