Horses are built to be able to handle a certain amount of weight and provided the load they're carrying is within that, and so long as they're handled with care, it doesn't hurt them, nor do many of them have a problem. Some horses do genuinely have an issue being ridden and they make it known. Most are content and some others even enjoy the experience, particularly if they have a bond with the rider.

Wanna know why animals do better with pregnancy vs humans? Animal fetus don't burrow into their body. The uterus & placenta function separate. They don't tap into moms resources like human babies. That's why animals moms stay pretty athletic and feeling good vs human moms that have a baby with a direct blood line into them, literally manipulating the body's functions.

There's a horse stable by my dad's house, the one pasture that is only open in the spring and summer. I've had the chance to b out there the first time they came to that pasture in like 6-7 months. To see 60-70 horses run all together at full speed was just awesome. The pounding of the hooves, the dirt and mud flying thru the air. So beautiful.

Proof you need a minimum of 3-4 acres in order to house 2 horses. They need to run….without halters or bridles. They need grassy areas to roll and shade for protection but most of all, they need space (to themselves) to be happy!!! Love seeing this. ❤ 🎉🎉😊❤ Excellent husbandry! They look really good.

So called boarding facilities where they are in stalls and spend the day in pens where they can barely get into a trot. They are ridden in riding arenas. The only time they go anywhere is to shows. I'm talking about kids whose parents board horses for them. Way too many horses for the acreage so that's how they're kept. When I had horses, we had 8 horses and ponies on 30 acres. They did share with cattle though and weren't dependent on grass for food, it was, basically, supplemental. We fed hay and grain.
