His voice is exactly the same. I’ve seen him live in two concerts just 3 meters away from me. No lip singing or non of the BS people say. Thank you for your reaction. ❤️☮️

Btw, just wanted to add that you'd probably be surprised by how many people in the industry are aware of him. He had lunch with David Foster while he was in LA, worked with Walter Afanasieff and Nathan Wang around the same time. Spent time at Stevie Mackey's home with Avery Wilson. Is followed on IG by Steve Vai and Justin Hawkins of the Darkness declared him the greatest vocalist in living history. That's besides all the people that he's worked with including his recent duet with Placido Domingo, his diplomatic work outside of the music industry where he's feted by politicians, presidents and religious leaders alike. How many other artists get called to urgent meetings between presidents and then jet off for meetings with the Director General of the UN? Gets flown back from engagements aboard his countries presidential plane? He does what he wants, when he wants and I think he's happy that way. He's just had a press conference in Istanbul, had a few days break in Cyprus where he visited an important UN project and now he's busy doing something in Korea. Maybe he just doesn't want to get sucked into the soul destroying machine of the US music industry?

Согласна со всем сказанным вами во второй половине. Что касается автотюна - Димаш его не использует для коррекции своего вокала. @@grieverproductions2022 It's not your fault, there have been so many accusations of him not being able to sing without the use of auto tune that Dears hackles rise even at the suggestion of it now. The trouble is that these people are ones that just like to make claims and even when we direct them to videos where he's just singing at home, or in the car, filmed on a phone they refuse to look at those videos. In fact a couple of months ago a video was spread around where a performance of Sinful Passion had been altered with auto tune to make it appear that Dimash was massively out of tune. The videos was titled Dimash without auto tune. Numerous musicians and vocal coaches put it to bed by actually using their auto tune programs to show that it was faked and obviously we had fancams of the actual performance anyway but you wouldn't have believed the amount of people who commented that they always thought he was too good to be true and that he was a fake. Strangely enough Dimash released the live acoustic version of Omir shortly after so he may have gotten wind of the video and decided to refute it in the classiest way ever!

I believe, given the breadth of his education, the perfection he strives for and seems like he's one of those very special people that's a voracious learner and creater. A person that needs not only to perform but to understand how everything he's doing works and is done on an in depth level. For example, on the first episode of I Am Singer, one of the producers or composers that was working with Dimash said he was surprised and very impressed at Dimash's depth of understanding of composition. Of course, this is because one of his many college degrees is in composition. So he has an advanced understanding of how a specific order or jump in his key and notes will help him convey a specific feeling or pace on a unconsciously so there's more enjoyment. I understand why he wants his audience to just enjoy his music rather than focus on how high or low he's singings. The problem with US (NOT HIM) is that the vast majority of us have never hear a singer who has worked so intensely and with so much self-discipline to learn something new and to perfect his technique! Please people, let's be honest, if you had the range and technical capability and stage presence that Dimash has worked decades for, would you not try to stretch yourself and bring happiness to your audience? Very very few people practice as much and with so much discipline *as I say so often) but it makes me excited to see what comes next as he he continues to grow. I'm sure he has enjoyed learning so much from Igor Krutoy as well. As his knowledge, style and nusicality grows and changes I really feel we are blessed to have found such a unique singer and performer. BTW, given that he's spent so much time in New York and Los Angeles meeting important people and learning better pronunciation of English. Let's please give him a lot of props in his ability to learn English from his language. Can you imagine one of us Americans trying to learn the accurate and beautiful pronunciation of Chinese, Armenia, more Chinese and Hong Kong songs?! Let's give this man credit where credit is due!!! Sorry so long, but please, let's all really see how much work it takes for Asian cultures to pronounce American English extremely well. I'm a neuroscientist so I truly understand how difficult it is for different sizes of nerves to innervate a multitude of nerve fibers and to control their spread, sound different sizes of muscle masses and sounds.

Hello to you and thank you for this reaction. I love this song so much! It's a nice mix of different styles, blues/jazz/pop/rock/R&B. Dimash gave a press conference in Istanbul on February 26 to announce his concert scheduled for May 24 and also launched this video. He explains, with the director of the video, where the idea came from (see around the 11th minute of the video). Here is the link: kzbin.info/www/bejne/b3nWXqKhd9N2rKcsi=RDxGFoWF7Fv4QzDv Don't forget to put the subs in English. For your information, Dimash's music is starting to be broadcast on the radio of certain stations in the United States, more particularly in Mexico. In my opinion, with this new musical genre, Dimash will surely reach more audiences in the United States. The fact that he is not more heard and known outside of music platforms is that he does not want to sign with any big company in the music industry. He wants to keep his artistic freedom. He founded his own production house called DIAMSHALI Creative Center. Dimash is very intelligent and knows perfectly how to reach the Western market without selling his soul. He's going to release a new music video soon, called Smoke. Watch for its release on its official channel. Greetings from Canada🥰❤

Dimash did not sing that old opera duet "Flower Duet" and it is the original recording from 1915 which is why it sounds old and not perfect. It IS old. 😄 The MV is a wonderful work of art. And yes, Dimash approves every frame of the total work. We've seen plenty of behind the scenes where the director sits with Dimash and waits for his approval to use the particular frame. If Dimash is not satisfied, he will ask for a retake. But I'm sure many retakes are not necessary as Dimash's acting skills are incredible. Dimash already performed this live at the premier of this song in Hong Kong on Dec 23, 2023. The Dears were shocked when they heard it for the first time. Absolutely stunning live performance even if the audio is not the best quality. There are plenty of fan cams on KZbin of the Hong Kong performance.

Dimash is a genius! A great storyteller and paradigm breaker! Anyone who watched the video, made by a fan with his cell phone, of Dimash's show in Hong Kong, had the pleasure of a first contact with the song “When I've Got You” and realized, in Dimash's own music and in the lyrics by Candice Kelly and Dmytro Gordon, a romantic, seductive and passionate song sung with Dimash's own virtuosity. There was tension and anxiety in being able to watch the studio version with better sound quality... Now, with the release of this music video, we realize how creative Dimash is: A suspense video with a “noir” atmosphere, but without being located in the past, and a tale of passion about a supernatural creature who feels alone and needs to fulfill his passion for a mortal woman who suffers for wanting and not wanting turn her into one of his supernatural creatures. Iskander Yerbolat's plot intrigues us to solve the mystery of the entire tale being a dream of a journalist who interviews “DQ”, or being a reality where the “vampire” did not bite his “prey” out of love! Intriguing... The video is a show in itself: Desaturated with vivid red details (umbrella, blood in the hands, blood in the pool, advertising sign, neon on the mirror...), a classic Rolls Royce, a gloomy and modern mansion and lots of details. As background music, he uses the work “Flower Duet” (Lakimé) by Léo Delibes. To create an old and suspenseful atmosphere, he does not use the 1968 edition and recording, by Joan Sutherland and Jane Berbié, but rather the original version from 1915, sung by Alexandrovna Mikhailova and Ivanovna Panina, recorded with a gramophone! The music video is a story that pays homage to several classic dramas involving supernatural creatures and passion! The impeccable editing with precise cuts that complete the script, simple and extremely efficient effects and masterful performances: Dimash (the seductive and tormented vampire, Polina Guzieva (the passionate journalist), Manuel de Jesús Sánchez Sotolongo (the sinister butler) and the harem of soulless vampires (Angelin Sapozhnikova, Valeriya Lyasheva, Andreana Tkachenko, Maria Aristatarkhova, Lilia Kiser and Klinnyushina Alina), superb! The music is a show in itself: a mix of Blue, Scat, Jazz, R&B, Rock... Captivating variations: a bridge to the chorus full of strength and seduction and a beautiful chorus inspired by classic rock and dexterity and Dimash's agility! In addition to the well-placed guitar solo performed by Abik Jeksen! The video captures and captivates from the beginning to the sign, which we let pass while still mesmerized by the “spell” of the vampire who can break the fourth wall! A giant, masterful, modern work that makes you want to watch it several times! 1000 out of 10! Hugs from a Brazilian!

If you would like to analyze more Dimash "cinema" with her, there are many options, but I would recommend Qairan Elim. DIRECTED BY Dimash which symbolically tells what Kazakhstan has been through in it's history and his hopes for her future. His choices are beautiful. Of course The Story of One Sky, if you haven't done it is his 12 minute masterpiece with screenplay, score, production, vocals, acting... all Dimash. He spent 3 yrs and $$7M on it. I would recommend you start with his live performance of it at his Almaty concert to concentrate on his lyrics, vocals, and performance, then do the mv which is very dense with symbolism. It is almost too much if you start with the mv. This came directly from Dimash's soul.

He has already performed this song in concert. Auto-Tune is not a thing for him unless it is extremely intentional for effect. Not done on this song. Yes there's some overlaying vocals and other post-production things because this is a studio recording. If you watch the live performance it's pretty damn amazing

First of all, thank you for mentioning the artistic vision of artists, that they have for the "pieces" that they create. I`ll come back to that later. Just wanna say first that if you found this song/video amazing, and want to sit down with Dimash to ask him about it, wait till you see "The Story of One Sky", the crown jewel of his career so far, message-wise, vocally, visually. He composed the music, the message is straight from his heart to the world, he wrote the video script himself, and it all took 3 years to come to fruition. Until then, here`s some collected info about 'When I've got you' - The director said the plot is that it`s all happening in the anxious imagination/dream of the girl, who is a reporter on her way to interview a music star who is very discreet usually, hence mysterious. So, it`s a dream within a story. The director said that since Dimash himself is quite private, doesn`t give very personal interviews, but is a very kind and simple person, they took advantage of the situation and came up with a "fictionalized, book style character". Other backstage info is that "three locations were used in the clip, and the search for ancient culture was not an easy task. In a creative atmosphere, a large international team tried to create a mysterious story in every element of the interior, in every detail of the costume, in every frame." It took around 70 people to work on all the details. Besides these official details, my intuition tells me that Dimash is moving towards an image appealing to a larger audience, with a bit of punch, a bit of edge, little sprinkle of sexiness too, but in keeping with his more traditional nature, his "simple and kind nature", he`s not gonna "shock and awe" us with some weird re-inventing of his image, so he came up with an image inspired from his fans` fan-fiction and fan-art, wrote it as a fan/journalist`s "imagination" about him, and it`s all good without him actually posing as a vampire 😁 But he gets to look nice as a sexy vampire at the same time 😁And make people who never heard of him curious 😁 Everybody wins :)) It`s a little humorous teasing tango with the fans. Now, vocally, you can hear his technical choices in his stage premiere of this : kzbin.info/www/bejne/q17JaoGXh7iKqK8 - the intro and second verse are live and gorrrgeous, with the dip into low register and peaks into soprano live and butter, the the chorus is backed by choir, and the fast paced second chorus might be backed by the original track, mostly due to the fast pace in english - he might be perfect musically, but he`s still getting used to english, and his memory is a bit glitchy in concert 😆This song is looong to premiere in a 3h concert, with dancing, and with songs in 7 languages and 3 alphabets running on your stage prompter :) Wouldn`t wish that on anyone :)) What I can say without being a vocalist, just from attending his concerts, is that usually the live variations include : - breathy singing doesn`t really work in concert, he chooses a more closed cords approach for the bits that are super breathy on the official recording. Probably a stage mic v.s. studio mic thing. Plus his concerts last 3 h, and he dances some, harder to keep that feathery light breathy singing stable and sounding like when you record it in peace in a studio, just that song, without walking around. - range-wise, he`s most at home in tenor-low tenor and rising into soprano. In concert he stirs clear from dipping too low towards baritone live, probably would mess up his vocal tuning, so to speak. Now, he does have songs with big range that he also brings to the stage. He wanted them to sound that way because that was his artistic vision for them. Because he expressed something through the dynamics that he used. And to bring those to a 3 h concert is something no live singing artist has to deal with, to such a degree. So, for some of those, or for bits of them, sometimes he uses track. Some people hate people who mention it, some people cry "fraud" and call Dimash fans stupid, we`ve been called both "blind to lipsyncing" AND "enablers of fraud singers". I stopped caring about all of that, I care about understanding Dimash, what, why, when he chooses to do this and that, what`s his vision, etc. And my conclusion is all day every day that I`m lucky to be alive at the same time as he is rising as an artist, that I would not trade his music for anyone else`s, that he has worked on and possesses the highest number of vocal tools that I have ever heard. And when he is on stage, his heart is there, and his physical and emotional expressing of a song is unparalleled. Some things he performs with endless live variations, some things he wants to keep in the original artistic intention. He is beautiful at both. In short, welcome back :)) So glad to see your video pop up. Looking forward to see your journey through Dimash`s repertoire. You should really try "El Amor En Ti" : kzbin.info/www/bejne/gmizfn9vish-rac - in his newest addition to his concert languages, 7th, spanish. His composition. Spoiler alert : Dimash found 3 other singers as good as him, to harmonize beautifully with 😉

Welcome back! There is a fancam of this song from his Hong Kong concert. And the beginning song is the flower duet from 1915 recording, not Dimash. The song is actually on KZbin also on Wikipedia. His father is the general producer of this MV and Dimash and one of the lyricists were the music producers. Dimash always has the last word in every song he sings, especially these days. Can't comment on songs before 2020. And he literally just dropped a teaser trailer for his next new song Smoke. This song has got on KZbin's hot 100. Probably his first since Dimash shared that news on his Instagram.

I still say that unless Dimash says it wasn't him covering the song, I still believe it is possible. The Diva Dance wasn't SUPPOSED to be able to be sung by a human until Dimash did! Anything that has been recorded can be COVERED by anybody that CAN! And I still say that Dimash always gives credit where credit is due and since none was given for that music it is still POSSIBLE that it wasn't given because it was a COVER of the recording.! Welcome back. The first song at the beginning and ending is an old recording from 1915. Vocal fry? There wasn't any. Btw vocal fry is not bad for the voice, it's the opposite. We use it while practicing for "fixing" the cords. Unless you meant growl which you have to know how to do it correctly? And for last, please, don't say auto-tune, there wasn't any in this song. Melodyne was used for sure, as in every recording, but it's better to explain the difference between those two, instead of saying auto-tune. Dimash's haters are waiting for someone to drop a hint about auto-tune and they start the accusations. I know your intentions weren't bad. You're gone for some time, have in mind that haters are attacking Dimash more than a year before. Thank you for your reaction, you have a lot of amazing songs to react to. You'll be blown away by The Story of One Sky. Cheers.

“Scat,” Dimash is using Scat in that flow with “and every little step,” scat /skat/ noun 1. improvised jazz singing in which the voice is used in imitation of an instrument: "a scat rendition" verb 1. sing using the voice in imitation of an instrument: "she scats and harmonizes simultaneously" He’s using his voice sounding almost like a sax or clarinet or some jazzy wind instrument.

Always a pleasure to listen to your reactions. Glad to see you back. - You can be sure that Dimash has the final say in anything that goes on in his videos. Dimashali is his own production company, managed by his dad. He is listed as the general producer in the credits. So if both run this, everyone on set has to listen to them. Anyway, I am glad that he is, and hopefully remains, independent, although it reduces his popularity.

Fantastic, I think it should win an award as well! Very good!! As for new artists you should check out Faouzia, she has some amazing vocals, she writes & composes her own songs, if you do check her out, a good place to start is with a song called Tears of Gold (stripped version). Dimash is a classically trained singer and musician. Things like auto tune are not allowed. Also...unless a song calls for several layers to the voice...such as him harmonising with himself....he doesnt require a studio and layering of tracks. He proves his vocal anilities every time he sings live in concert. He does it one take. Vocal fry he is an expert in. And other kinds of vocalizations most people cant conceive of doing. Certain music videos require a slick treatment but that is mostly for the instrumentation . Just for the record...again... Dimash does NOT use auto tune. Nor does he lip sync except when in some countries and they are making a big deal televised special...they might require it of him. Primarily in Russia and China.. Now they have relaxed on that. Most pop singers etc are not formally trained....which is far different than just being coached.

Yeah seems I didn’t explain that properly. A lot of people have misunderstood what I meant about that and that’s on my ADHD brain 😂 I wasn’t at all saying he needed it. Just explaining that sometimes artists use it as a tool to clean up the vocals. A lot of people that don’t know Dimash comment on these videos a lot with comments like “but this isn’t live I bet he can’t do it” and I was more saying it to address those people and it backfired. Also doesn’t help that I mixed up autotune and pitch correction 😂

Don't let people tell you not to pause, this is a REACTION video, if they want to watch it they should go to DQ's channel and give him the credit for the watch...

I don’t know if you have reacted to Dimash’s, “A Story of One Sky.” Please do the MV, and his live performance on fan cam. Dimash wrote the. U six for this, and it took him 3 years to write. Also, a couple of South Korean quartets, Forestella, and Libelante, are truly magical. Thank you again, for your wonderful insight, into Dimash, and all of his artistry. So thankful Dimash is independent, and guards his integrity. May he continue to BLOSSOM in his career, and may ALL his DREAMS come to fruition!

This is actually the original 78 RPM recording of this song from 1914. It resembles Dimash's voice and I think that was probably intentional. Pausing is fine, In fact it's much better than talking over the video which many reactors do. And we understand that it's a reaction channel and we understand that sometimes it's necessary to avoid copyright issues. But yes sometimes too many pauses make a reaction difficult to watch and to stay with.

Dimash does not use autotune in performances. Some post production of videos do. Also, as others note his live performance is close to identical.

Dimash has absolute pitch he doesn’t need autotune or pitch correction. Another KZbinr compared Pavarotti, Dimash and autotune on the same note in pitch monitoring software. Pavarotti and Dimash were identical, whereas autotune wasnt.

He doesn't need pitch correction, but it is done automatically as postproduction on all official recordings these days. Most often, it's something imperceptible to the human ear even. It certainly won't make a bad singer sound good. There is no pitch corrections on fancams of live performances, for instance, as it can only be done in the studio, but he sounds the same or even better.

Oh I’m aware he doesn’t need it. It was more a statement for those that will complain that this is a recording and not live BECAUSE that autotune and pitch correction can be used. As Dia has said above, most post production use either one and won’t make a bad singer good but it does clean up a vocal. It’s something I plan on doing a video on at some point to show what I meant by what I said because it seems most people thought I was saying he needs it. He absolutely doesn’t but it was more to put the people that will question it being a recording to rest.
