When watching you open your gift, I noticed the recipe binder. I prepared two binders like that for my grandkids. I put all my favourite recipes that have been in the family for years. I told my granddaughter that these are all Grandma’s favourite recipes, someday when I am gone, she will have the recipes to hand down to her children and grandchildren. Both grandkids were so happy with them!

My husband and I would go on the truck with our dog and his boss paid for us to stay in a hotel and we managed to find ones that accepted our little dog. I remember those soaps. We always took them home too. It makes you feel special. Love that you got those wonderful gifts. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

What a very sweet woman to think of you Tessie with the soaps, shampoos and purses. You should really indulge in your spa night and even light a soft candle. You so deserve this Tessie. Tessie I know I say this a lot but when you share your stories of when money was tight I can't believe how you made yourself content by purchasing travel size shampoo etc. You truly have been a fantastic strong person and wife! When I listen to you it takes me back to my mother when she shared some tight times financially in their marriage. She use to say "you do what you have to do." My parents were frugal people but I never felt like I did without anything. What I'm trying to point out that inspires me are even these stories you share about your younger years was " you did what you had to do!" Your so honest, humble, and real. I get something inspiring from your videos so much of the time. I hope you can really enjoy all your new plumbing!

My mother in law used to go to the hotels and she would save the shampoos and all the things like that. One day she gave me this huge bag of them all. It took me over 2 years to use all the stuff that she had given me. Each little tube that the shampoos came out of, I saved and used those for containers for paint for when my grandson came over and he wanted to paint and do crafty things. Those little containers where so handy to have on hand. Enjoy you little box of treasures.

What’s not exciting? I think you struck gold. What Joyce gave you was gold if you like stuff like that. ❤ Having electricity and full running water hot and cold is luxury. You have a nice place. You can cook inside or out side and have water full hooked up and you have a washer and dryer and close line and most of all a loving family. That’s luxury and a huge blessing.
