According to todays standards, I’m living 200% below poverty level. My income is so low I don’t even need to file taxes. But I do SO MANY of the same things you do. It was so wonderful to find a kindred spirit. You gave me tips and helpful hints on how to live my life in a better way and for that, I will be forever grateful to you.❤️

I totally understand where you are financially, but I have learned over many years of being below the poverty level that there are lots of people with the funds just existing and are miserable. Life is a BEAUTIFUL BLESSING, do your best to live it with Thanksgiving and Joy😊😊

It’s all subjective. I find many “rich” people extremely limited and poor in their way of life in which they wouldn’t know how to live and survive without it. Bob Marley has some wonderful answers in interviews when asked whether he got rich from his music, because what is rich? It’s just however you interpret your richness.

My granny taught me this. dont toss your clothes down on the floor-hang them up. she meant dont wash my clothes too death. lol! we had the same thing every morning at grannys. biscuits with syrup n good cold milk. today i went to the food pantry and got so much food and a free skirt, free dress and two shirts. so blessed. saved tons of seeds last fall from my garden. got more for free .so now i will have a huge garden! thanks Tessie.

Being poor when my 4 girls were growing up had really helped them learn how to be frugal as adults. My oldest had to show a past partner how to shop frugally (at that time they had very little money so it was definitely needed). When my oldest started college at 17, she was doing her usual frugality and she was trying not to spend the outrageous cost on books. She was trying to get them all online but only found a partially out one she needed. She said i taught her how to be thrifty. I told her in that case she may have to spend the money but try to find it used for less. But I'm glad my girls do know how to live frugally!

Exactly on the clothes I still look at those sizes too and since I don't feel different I forget I even have lost wt. I have sewn a few dresses but that is totally weird I cut the leg size when I use to add to the biggest size of the same pattern I took in my dresses so I am sure some scratch their head I look different but still wearing the same dresses to church I always have. When I was that size I had a hard time finding clothes that size now that I am not I find the clothes everywhere and hard to find the current size crazy but I push on good thing I can sew.

Tessie, you teach so many valuable lessons for our younger generation coming up. I hope you do so for many, many more years. It's wonderful that your family supports your needs as gifted items. More children should learn that valuable lesson. Don't buy your parents things they don't need. As we age, our income does become less. We appreciate the simple things in life.

Good morning my beautiful friend ❤ I also try to buy in bulk and when it is marked down! I will take it home and repackage. I think of meat as being something to add flavor or texture to a meal and add it to a dish like I would a veggie lol. I will use one breast and shred it into lots of pieces so it feels like you are getting more! I use a lot of beans for extra protein. Plus they are delicious, store well, last forever and are relatively cheap! Your soup looks fabulous especially those noodles! I vaguely feel like you made them in a video a few months ago. I have never made my own noodles before but I want to start!

One thing I want to share., if your going to pressure can Hamburger, buy it at a higher-end store seriously spend a bit more on better meat, I bought some at Winco, and it was awful tasting when I used it . The flavor was like corn beef hash, but my higher-end meat, still tastes like good ground beef, I'm thinking the fat content in the lower quality beef, is why it had a different taste. ❤😊
