Why do students of knowledge read the matn like reciting Qur'an? Is that a bid'ah or is there evidences for this? Some Muslims sway back and forth while memorizing Qur'an and it was said that this swaying is the way of the jews and a bid'ah. So what is the ruling on reading the texts of books like the Qur'an? Did the Salaf narrate Hadith in melodic ways?

I wanted to extract a book that was being read into an audiofile. But all I could find were students of knowledge reciting the texts in melodic ways to the Shaykh, and some were reciting it very fast. So where did reading the matn of a book in a melodic way come from? And if it has no basis, why is it not shunned?

BarakAllaahoe fikoem for this beautiful channel. Please keep the videos short, they are great reminders and due to being short people are more willingly to watch. I see that you are looking for patreons to make larger videos, but this short vids are very beneficial and specificaly from sharing/dawah standpoint. I had watched the lessons of sheikh abderrazaaq hafidahoellaah and i would have loved to share certain storys and reminders and this channel is exactly that. Actually, many people don't watch the videos of great scholars because they are still pictures... I think it's the first of it's kind... And also, if you put a still picture at may create some copyright and repetious content problems on KZbin and I know this law very well...

Not returning salaam doesnt necessarily make you kafir. As for it being a sin in that context i dont know. All I know is the verse where Allah says when given a greeting, respond with something better or the the same

May Allāh bless you akhi, I’d advise you not watch Anime at all. It is from the footsteps of Shaytan. Not to mention the overwhelming majority of it is haram. May Allāh guide us both to the Sirat al-Mustaqeem, preserve us and make us from the people of al-Firdaws in Jannah.

If you know Arabic then start with bidayatul abid wa kifayat uz zahid. If not, then I don't think there are many English resources for the hanbali madhhab online, but zaad ul mustaqni' has been translated into english.

Its poetry. This isnt anything which opposes the sunnah. Like the poem that ibn taymiyyah wrote (laamiyyah) It is normal to read it in a melodious tone
